the fact that past-samriley is actually somewhat canon (more canon than past-sticky) as is the fact that sam sees riley in all his partners, and the fact that riley's shadow still hangs over sam in the form of guilt.. but ya bucky is the one with a broken heart

Sam's stacked losses, grief and trauma is rarely given the focus it deserves in fandom, while not even touched in canon. He just gets to be this well adjusted, well rounded dude who never lets anything bog him down too long and just wants to take care of everyone else's needs while bottling up everything about himself.

In what world is that healthy? Just reads like deflecting coping mechanisms to me. Baby boy has the world on his shoulder, its opinions, judgments, safety, well-being and personal attacks included. And so few care to see the till that takes on his stance.

It's sad. Hurts my heart fer my boy. Sam deserves so much better.

idols are not just idols, they’re FUCKING HUMAN BEINGS GOD DAMMIT. they’re not perfect. they’re not always happy. they don’t always look like they just stepped off the runway. they don’t need to cater to you or anyone else. they need to live their lives and be happy or else what are they doing this for? our satisfaction? FUCK that. i want my babies to do what makes THEM happy. i don’t give a fuck if they have perfect skin or a perfect body, i just care that they’re happy and healthy and enjoying what they do. i don’t know about you, but i don’t want someone living their lives just to please everyone else but themselves. i stan idols because i want to see them succeed and follow their dreams, not so i can judge every little thing they do and rely on them being absolutely perfect and on point 100% of the time. fuck man i wanna be there when they fail, when they’re sad, when they’re frustrated and feel like they wanna give up. i wanna be there to see them overcome all of their hardships. i want to support them and love them through everything that they do. i don’t just STAN these idols, i LOVE them. i CARE for them. i see them as family. i see them as human. and so should you.
