What if Harry as raised by a family other than the Dursleys? Voldemort or his death eaters would find him and kill them. Lily’s sacrifice and blood protection saved Harry’s life. It had to be the Dursleys if Harry had any chance of surviving. Of course Dumbledore hoped that Harry would be raised in a loving household, but Petunia’s grudge against Lily was force of its own along with Vernon’s personal brand of cruelty.

So about the Space Trickster AU: I'm undecided on what direction to take our sugar coated nasties.

On the one hand, when I first thought of this I was thinking of them as zombies/zombie-like to ultimately end up as dead or wholly unrecognizable as human (fun to think about but I'm the end kinda boring to draw)

On the other, I've more recently been thinking about them being transmuted into more creature-like things but still mostly human with each having a different mutation. Here are the mutation ideas I have:

Dirks's torso elongated, making room for his second pair of arms; his canines elongated as well with new ones popping in behind them. His eyes got better at picking things up in the dark but have become more light-sensitive

Jake more often then not travels on all fours or by crawling through ducts and pipes and so developed pads on his hands, knees, and feet; he lost his glasses at one point so he relies more on his sense of smell and hearing (though I was thinking of giving him thermal vision). All of his teeth have gotten sharper (may have venomous salvia)

Jane has probably the least 'fucked up' features. Her hands have grown pads, so she has a better grip, and with that grip, she can transmute people/objects though she has to have full concentration and is vulnerable at this time. Her skin, in some places, is candy cane-stripped but her whole body is capable of camouflage. Her canines and the first premolars have gotten bigger and sharpened.

Roxy I'm unsure about, but I want her to be able to transportalize herself short distances and maybe do something with voice mimicry. Like I said, I'm unsure about her so I don't have much.

That all just seems more fun to draw, but maybe less daunting than the betas facing the rotting ambling corpses of their family members.

... speaking of boatem circus, i managed to make some writing progress on elegy today! (on one-ish hour of sleep) (at work) there's still a lot left to go for the last chapter, it's far from done, but i'm happy with the progress.

I’m thinking of starting a challenge alongside my legacy gameplay because I’m like so in love with them it’ll take forever to get to next gen. I may try to play around with some WIP hairs but no promises. I just feel like I’ve been here for years and some where I stopped interacting with y’all and I’m just trying to rebuild my “brand” and be more than just a cc creator because cc is like low priority for me at the moment. I even wanna try my hand at sims YouTube… who knows I’m indecisive and in need of a change.

My fae friend, I love tales about the fae that are set in the modern world. Give me stories where they're learning to grapple with technology, with how fast human innovation has become, with how their magic is falling 'behind' what invention can do - total fish out of water stories.

I'd be torn on a lead too. One the one hand, I absolutely love the 'he seemed like a villain but then all along you find out he was helping the main character' trope. Dark and dangerous and decidedly not human.

Buuuut I would also adore having a 'nerdy' fae man. The clueless, awkward ancient being who's trying to figure out how to check his email so that he can transcribe and submit his 4-scroll-long hand-written dissertation on the warding properties of glyphs and how modern circuit boards echo them and disrupt spellcasting...all while he goes off on adorable, disheveled, impassioned monologues about his chosen academic subject a la Evelyn Carnahan or something.

All while the lady lead of the story, our human, is the Rick O'Connell of this dynamic.

BUT but but but… here’s why you should still watch the show: it’s a really cool crime show with interesting characters and awesome cases. They don’t do weekly mysteries but their cases last a whole season, sometimes more, and it’s never boring. I initially found it in the pandemic after I finished binge-watching 12 seasons of Bones and then developed a crush on Katheryn because dear Lord, that woman is hot. Anyways, season 1 also had Ryan Phillippe and I also crushed on him since Cruel Intentions. And and and and then, those showrunners had the audacity to put Logan Marshall-Green in season 2, who teenage!me drooled over since I fell in love with him on the OC (he was a super bad guy, but I would’ve gone to prison for that man). So yeah, there’s too many hot people on this show for my poor little heart… 🥲🫠

But don’t stress, my child. After posting those three parts, I’ll go on a longer writing break because Jensen has given me whiplash and I turned my brain into mush 🥴 Mama needs a break 😂
