what many fail to realize is that suguru wants too much and cares too much and that he cannot kill that part of himself it’s there when he’s a child and it’s there when he’s an adult. it would be so much easier if he didn’t care about anything or anyone, that’s what keeps sorcerers alive, but not once has suguru not cared or not wanted. he wants to protect the weak and exploited, his perception of who needs that protection the most and what he needs to do to reach it are all that changes. it’s still all-consuming desire for something that might not even be achievable but he wants it. he dreams up a world where jujutsu exists to protect the weak in the same way he dreams up a world where sorcerers can be happy, and whether or not he knows it’s a fool’s endeavor doesn’t really matter because he wants it and he fights for it regardless. suguru wants to be used in the sense that he wants to be needed, in the sense that he wants to be loved. he doesn’t know how to live without feeling desire gnaw at his ankles.
in the midst of my salmonghetti i somehow ended up watching bllk and i know this is a really really obvious takeaway lmao but i started to ponder the team ego is trying to build and how it consists of players who all want to be strikers because not all of them can be strikers, defenders and midfielders and goalies are needed too (obviously) <- this means none of them will ever be satisfied. by making a team out of ”only strikers” he’s making a team that will continue to push itself to excel and aim for the ”only worthwhile position”. a team of only strikers sounds like a ticking time bomb but it’s more so a mentality ego is installing in them to prevent their team from ever feeling satisfied with their efforts
women fish me , fear wants me .
If you can acknowledge posting about Harry Potter / Marauders despite it being "divorced from the source material" is still contributing to the reputation and standing of JK Rowling I think you can acknowledge that posting about a guy who is proudly holidaying in a country committing one of the most blatant genocides of our time with someone who actively supports that genocide is probably not the best move for someone who is ostensibly anti genocide.
