Yellow jackets season 3 spoiler*

So far we’ve, at this point, seen three people become antler queen. Lottie, then Natalie, and now Shauna. So I sort of have a theory.

What if before they get rescued every survivor attempts to be the antler queen? All eight of them. And none of them are ever successful or long lasting.

Because in season one we’re told right off the bat that Jackie has a sort of gift for leading. The ability to lead. Obviously she kind of failed at it in the wilderness, but considering… everything I’d say that’s reasonable.

Then Jackie dies.

What if the point is that only Jackie is capable of being leader? Maybe that’s the only dynamic that works. And so try as they might none of the girls can live up to that. None of them can be successful antler queens.

I haven’t looked into it but maybe it has something to do with the traits Jackie complimented them for? Like I said I’d have to go back and see but that’s just my theory.
