I thought the whole subject of AI and art had gone too quiet so wasn't at all surprised by Koh using Jira's paintings. The only surprising thing was that it's ep 9 so they expect us to buy him completely changing his world view and ethics in a single episode so that they can make OffGun the end game. Not that I think Pheem's the right choice either. Are we sure this is only 10 eps? The timing would make more sense for 12.
I did feel a little sorry for Pheem in the rejection scene but I think that's because I like Dew. And I do think that Koh genuinely likes Jira but man, you can't divorce the art from the artist. He KNEW Jira would hate what he's done - it's why he kept it secret but also can't understand why, having seen the AI 'art,Jira doesn't agree that it's Art, is upset. He's ripped his soul out. And it doesn't matter how broke he was he wouldn't have sold Koh his art in the first place if he'd known. What a dick (actually his T-shirt sums his behaviour up completely).
Mawin - don't bring six foot of gorgeousness into your audition and ask him to channel his emotions. Have you got no sense of self preservation? He's going to get cast instead of you, idiot. Great scene though.
Honestly Jira should just cut both of them out of his life, get some therapy and find a nice, gentle man who adores him but given he's attracted to red flags...
