Hi, someone spoiled to me the Death Island movie and was saying things like, "Even the movies don't care about the redfields, haha."

Look, I like Jill and Leon like but if that spoiler was true and they the redfields got left behind or got trashed for the sake of the others to shine, please tell me

Hey there, always happy to see someone who also cares about the Redfields!

I'm not sure if you've watched the movie by now, so I'll try to answer this with minimum spoilers.

I said before that the dynamic that I was most excited to see in Death Island was the Redfields because we haven't seen them together on screen in canon material for 23 years since Code Veronica. So I think it's partly my own fault when I found that their dynamic in Death Island was somewhat below my expectation, because I was being a bit too excited about finally seeing them together again after so long.

The film makers managed to show us that Chris is such a caring big brother in this movie, but not to the extent that we saw in Code Veronica. And I definitely think that they could've improved on how Claire interact with her brother.

Overall, it's not good enough, but it's not overly bad either. But yeah, the Redfields (both individually and collectively as siblings) definitely take a back seat to Leon and Jill in this movie.

That's what I can tell you for now, but of course I plan to make a more comprehensive post about the Redfields in Death Island in a separate post later, too.

I'm new to uncharted and just completed the second game yesterday, and you were my first choice to ask

Is it noticeable that between the 3 months at the heist Harry Flynn was cocky but like gives you a feeling he's not bluffing? Unlike after the 3 months at every scene he's there, he just gives you the vipe of pathetic liar and a coward hiding under fake bravado?

without a doubt harry is absolutely cockier in the early part of the game and for good reason: he hasn't seen exactly how ruthless lazarevic can be and he held all the cards up to that point. (he thought) he had a good (mostly professional) thing going with chloe, he knew about the ships before he ever brought nate on board (heh), he was playing nate like a fine fiddle in greece and all the way through the heist, and everything went exactly to plan until nate showed his (very nice, very annoying) ass in borneo and ruined everything 😠

even in borneo, there was little reason to believe he wasn't on the right track bc he did find the ships, but then nate just waltzes in and uncovers the next clue without even blinking and that definitely shakes harry's confidence (and, more likely, lazarevic's confidence in harry), not that he would ever admit that (instead, it only fuels his jealousy and rage)

plus, he witnessed lazarevic stab a dude in cold blood right in front of him and, you know, maybe started to realize that he might be in over his head! (but denial is one hell of a drug)

it only gets worse in nepal bc this is where his control over the entire situation starts to completely unravel: he's got nothing to narrow down the "one temple" clue, lazarevic is actively inciting civil war, and then he finds out chloe (the only person he trusts) has been sneaking around behind his back with nathan fucking drake. and then who shows up again on the train? nathan fucking drake.

so yeah, that brash confidence is all just a front for how fucking terrified he is bc if he doesn't manage to weasel his way out of every bad encounter he knows lazarevic will just fucking shoot him (and chloe, who he cannot lose bc the only thing worse than being afraid is being alone) — beats working against him, love, he says, and therein lies his true patheticness bc he would rather work for a war criminal in an act of self-preservation than have to confront the moral integrity of it and the very real possibility that he could die if he doesn't make nice with lazarevic (and bc at this point he's in too deep and doesn't see any other way out but forward, hence the bravado. like hell he's gonna let nate think he's won)

luckily for him, he's a very, very good liar

Started 4 and met Sam

He is cool and all, but bro, Nate is a child, and you take him climbing buildings like that, and they will lock you in jail for child endangerment

Oh, and Rafe, a sht head. I'm probably going to hate him more if the jail chapter was him being likable because I didn't like him

Hello there (the new uncharted fan is back) I finished the 3rd game and let me tell you the 2nd is still better

I believe the creators wanted a cool mix of Navarro and Harry, but they got the worst thing ever: Talbot

I was disappointed with that part (Saleem tried his best to save it what a knight), so I decided to go back and research for the 1st and 2nd game villains

Everything is good till I research Harry like yo I literally write: Harry Flynn uncharted

What I got : Oh, want some Harry Potter ships? Or some Harry styles songs?

Why couldn't he get a normal name?

yeah i'm not a big fan of uc3 (there are elements of it that i like but it overall it feels so messy and weird) and talbot is definitely one of the least interesting uncharted villains 😮‍💨 at least harry has a personality beyond [insert generic british villain here]

this is a GREAT video that touches on a lot of the reasons why uc3 is just. not good lmao (and also why talbot could have been cool if they'd pulled the trigger on adding more supernatural elements to the game)

but agreed it is so annoying trying to do any kind of search about harry LMFAOO u gotta tell google no i want "harry flynn" bitch and even then when u do an exact search the results aren't great

but that's why i'm here 💪 if u have questions i can almost guarantee i have answers bc this man has invaded my brain for 2 years
