Yesterday‘s opening raised $199 for @thepatchworkscabbagetown ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Today we walked over to our exhibition and have the privilege of meeting Shannon, one of the rare folks in #Cabbagetown who is from there and still there. She told us stories about driving go carts on Boulevard, a wrestling rink on Tye Street where the matches cost 25 cents, the dichotomy of being a child in a neighborhood full of open doors and love but also drug addiction and crime. I’m so grateful for her time and support of our endeavors @tnsatlanta I was completely delighted to see the portraits of her created by famed artist photographers #OraienCatledge and #PanoramaRay ✨#ittakesavillage #thesearethepeopleinyourneighborhood #historymemory #fieldandwork #carrollstreet #shero @carrollstcafe (at Carroll Street Cafe)
