Communication works in different ways. Usually, it starts with the source where the speaker crafts the message accordingly. Then comes the Message as what it is needed to be delivered. Noise as the distraction. Followed by the Receiver, who gets the message that was being sent. Lastly, Evaluation wherein the receiver reacts to the message.

Functions of Communication:

Regulation/Control - controls a human's behaviour. Social Interactions - maintains bonds and intimacy. Motivation - expresses his/her likes and choices. Information - usedfor giving and getting information. Emotional Expression - expressing emotions verbally and non-verbally.
