Harding Week Day 1 - Compassion

For @datvcompanionweeks' Harding week this year I decided to replicate the embroidery sash that Lace made for her Inquisition Spotter heroic armor! It's the one that you receive for choosing to let go of Lace's anger during her personal quest, so I felt like it matched well with the prompt for day 1

I usually do counted embroidery, not freehand, so this was a bit out of my comfort zone, but I figured that since the in-game armor has a rather blocky backstitch, I'd be ok if I messed up! I even made a gridded pattern for it.

I really like how it came out, although I'm thinking if I decide to use it for a cosplay I'll redo it much larger!

Me: Ok I shouldn’t plan cosplays before the new DA game actually releases, how will I know what outfit I want to wear? What if there is a new character I like better? I’ll have much better photo references when i play the game myself…

Crafting Brain: if I start embroidering now, I can definitely finish that floral collar by next con season

Cleaning out my closet for the New Year!!

Organized all my dresses by color 🌈

I found my Dagna cosplay armor which i totally forgot I still had! It’s in very rough condition after multiple cons and years in storage, but if anyone is trying to make the Inquisition Scout armor for Harding, I’ll try and reverse-engineer the pattern before I finally get rid of it!

Speaking of things I need to let go of, I also found what was supposed to be my wedding dress. I was going to try and repurpose it for a costume, but never got around to it. I tried it on and my tits are way too fabulous to close it, so i’ll try and find someone to give it away to, but also I took this photo, ft. My cat failing the mirror test 😄
