I was downtown being nosy about the Castle Rock filming going on today, and a shopkeeper told me that he thinks the town actually looks better now that the crew has boarded everything up to look abandoned.

I asked him about it and he said that the boards over the windows make the vacant storefronts look cleaner, plus the props department has put a lot of super-cute old fashioned signs on the buildings.

So there you have it! My town actually looks better when TV-abandoned than it does in reality.

They started filming Castle Rock today!

The entirety of the center of town has been turned into a rundown town from the 70s. Business boarded up, new shop names, building turned into something else, its so cool. I should have responded to the extras call for today but I didn't want to call out of work 😣 oh well. There'll be more filming days over the next few months, i'll get in somewhere lol
