fun facts about him: he is three years old, tomorrow marks 2 months of having him (august 31st), he pooped on my floor last night, he purrs a lot, he smells like a sauna according to rowan, he is literally the type of cat baby ares used to dream about in every way its wild that he just got Given to us for free, he prefers fish over chicken, he likes his cat treats a Lot, he's scratched my chair to bits, he seems indifferent about mettaton, he loves resting his head on my arm, hes such a cuddler in the morning, and if you find a way to put his head near your ear you can hear him purr and breathe and its nice

IM SO NORMAL recently i've been thinking about the blooks and how the ones that fuse with a new body that we know of , especially mew mew, have the closest relationship to the ones they admire as darkners do to lightners... its not 1-1 but mew mews whole being treated like a pincushion thing and undyne probably not knowing she was a conscious dummy... buhhhh am i making sense

hi ihave an answer for you. It depends on if it's before or after he fuses. if it's before then yes he could consume ghost alcohol just fine and it would inebriate him. but after he's fused then nopppp nouppppp it wouldnt. as we know from Blooky's house when they give Frisk a ghost sandwich, Frisk is unable to eat it because it phases right through them. we also know that Ghost Juice comes in a variety of flavors thanks to the alarm clock dialogue.

i will admit that im not entirelt sure if he's lying out of his ass here or not but okay hang on im now reconsidering my entire agenda. Hold on. My life has been flipped over on its head.

so. previously i had been interpreting this as like. Mettaton was unable to taste the ghost juice but he was remembering back when he COULD taste it and complaining that it wasn't even one of the flavors he liked BACK THEN. ("it wasn't even a flavor i liked" feels like he's talking about before he fused as opposed to "it wasn't even a flavor i like" which would imply he could still very much taste ghost juice.) i considered he could have been lying of course by saying he couldn't taste it but i was pretty sure his statement applied to the past. I don't know. now that i'm seeing these bits in isolation again i'm aware it could go either way.

so IF we are going with MY interpretation and possible misunderstanding of the situation which i am going to stick by for the moment anyway, no, Mettaton would probably not be affected by ghost alcohol. hope this helps and doesn't put my obsession with the fact that mettaton is fused on full display

HEHEHE. HEHEHE . I HAD A SIMILAR THOUGHT PROCESS I WAS JUST TOO TIRED TO WORD IT X]]]] i love that dialogue so so so bad its just sooooo . is tongue in cheek the right wording im not sure. like. "haha not that i know anything abt ghost flavours" okay i trust and love you so deeply but also i know u are saying this to not out yourself as being a ghost previously. and not to mention the mental image of him and maddie drinking together looking out the window at blooky auaudhshhshs I DONT CARW ABT THE BLOOK FAMILY NOT EVEN A BIT. also this dialogue has one of my favourite things. "smile-sensors". oh my god 🥹my robot. he loves being a robot.

but yeah i agree with you here. i will find a way and he will glitch out. ok
