Statue of St Philip Neri indicating his heart which had been enlarged by the Holy Spirit. Rather unexpectedly this beautiful statue of the 'Apostle of Rome' is in the Basilica church of the Mission San Carlos Borromeo del Río Carmelo in California.

Via Flickr: Edit - Some rights reserved Today, 26 May, is the feast of St Philip Neri who founded the Congregation of the Oratory (Oratorians) in 16th-century Rome. This window is in the Dominican sisters' convent at Stone, Staffordshire. St Philip was educated by Dominicans, hence the connection and his biographer reports that he once said to the Dominicans in Rome that "Whatever good there is in me I owe to your Fathers of San Marco..."
