It was sunday and the San Pablo City Cycling Club has a scheduled ride to Tagaytay via Casile at 5am. I got home last night around 1am (because of dop’s painom at Tresto) so I was not able to make it at the scheduled time. I woke up at 6am, did my morning routines, prepared my things, ate a little breakfast, and fed the dogs. I took off past 7am. I was already 2 hrs late and i think at this time…

Casile, Cabuyao Coffee

Yep! That is about it. The coffee from Casile Street, Cabuyao. 

This place is a hidden gem, literally. It will take you some time to find it. 

Located on a secret route from tagaytay, this road starts to show signs of a coffee place through its banners, teasing the passers by of a coffee shop in a very unexpecting place. 

We even had to ask around where this coffee shop was because we just figured we are already lost or we had passed by it. 

Then lo and behold, the coffee shop. Yes it was a coffee shop but not like what you would expect. Not the typical Starbukck type but it was a Hut, a Coffee Hut! The place is owned, I am assuming by a family. It is situated in their property. Fun thing about their place is that they just sell coffee and I loved the idea! 

I ordered 2 cups of brewed coffee and asked what kind was going to be served to us. The lady said they are serving arabica blends exclusively for the day. Then she prompted us to take a seat because they will be grinding the beans for a moment and brew them right after. This was a delightful thing to hear because damn that cup of coffee would be fresher than you! 

We sat and looked around. The ambiance of the place was grounded and humbling. When you look at the counter you will be greeted by a desk full of different kinds of coffee beans with different shades of roast. Lovely view for the coffee connoisseur and the noob alike. Breathing the aroman around is another experience. When I breathe, it is coffee. When you exhale, that is co2 caffeine. Oh well, I am definitely coming back to that place and bringing family and friends in that coffee hut anytime soon.
