-🍊Picked the whole orange tree and gave him a haircut by myself today! Along with cleaning each individual orange with a damp rag since a good chunk of them had aphids but are all still good to eat. Fun fact about aphids, they’re the fuzzy white guys you see on branches and fruits. A massive surplus of them can be a bad thing, the reason you see many ants accompanying them is because they use the aphids similar to how humans milk cows. The aphids drink and excrete sugar from the plant, which the ants then take from. It’s another reason why some of your leaves or fruit that have aphids are sticky, is from the sugar being excreted! Luckily the aphids have not effected the quality of our fruit, but they can effect the newer branches growing in, as we have lots of deformed branches, and that directly impacts your tree and fruit! Fertilizer specifically for citrus trees I hope can help our main issues 🍊-
