4/4 or 11/8 or what even is time?

It’s been less than 72 hours since getting sheet music and my first orchestra practice and I’ve practiced for 9+ hours. 

I can tell I’m making some progress, but I’m also sitting next to Vitya knowing how much more work I have to do in order to be satisfied with these pieces. 

But my fingers are actually sore, the tips are raw, and not matter how many times I play those measures I’m not getting anymore in tune. 

I’ve been a good kid and taking my breaks, but geez. I need food.

Okay this one time when I was like 11 and the youngest person in my youth orchestra we were standing around backstage waiting for the show to start and this college kid who I had a crush on asked me if we were allowed to go onstage and I tried to be really cool and I was like 'yeah, like, nobody's out there tho', and he was like 'okay' and then I fell down the stairs
