Hello.

It has been quite a while since I have posted. Like any other student, I am extremely busy, but I have not forgotten about this blog. I will do my best to continue it. Thank you. Just wanna say I won a local concerto competition playing Bruch, and I might post the video onto here if anyone is interested.

What are you working on(repertoire-wise)?

So currently I am working on the Stamitz and looking at the Roman Carnival Overture. I am also looking at the viola part for the Concerto with violin by Mozart. Previously I was working on bartok and Telemann.

I have a friend in our orchestra who recently REALLY got into hip hop and rap, and he won't stop calling his viola his viYOla

Hmm...that must be frusterating. At least he chose the RIGHT instrument.

So our orchestra director wasn't there so we had a substitute but it was my english teacher (he was just there to make sure we didn't blow anything up). So in english class then he asked where my violin was and I was like "it's a viola" *stares at camera like it's the office*

I’m with you on that. Although, I congratulate them because I would never be able to have the courage to play a solo or even attempt to perform it in front of others even though I have to.
