I guess every Organizational Communication (OrCom) student has their own interesting stories on how they ended up in OrCom. Although I know very few people who really wanted to take up OrCom, there are still more people who actually have no idea what they are up to when they got in the course.
My “OrCom story” will always be my favorite memory during my college days, it will be one of the best stories where I can say that: there are really moments in your life that you just have to trust the one above because He always has a better plan. Transferring in UP Manila, and choosing OrCom is still one of the best decisions I had in my life.
My beloved course, UP Manila’s Organizational Communication celebrated its 30th anniversary last September 30, 2014 at the Bayleaf Hotel with its current students, alumni, and faculty. It was a night where you can see smiles, people taking selfies, and having chitchats with their friends everywhere.
The first part of the event was a seminar from notable speakers. There are also performances from the OrCom students, raffles, and of course, the recognition of the pillars of OrCom.
I will not forget the recognition of Ate Nov’s, the go-to person for every OrCom student. We did not expect that she will be recognized in the event. That was really one of the most touching moment not only for Ate Nov’s but also for all the OrCom students, Alumni, and faculty.
One of the best nights of my college life!
