there was a part of her that kept holding onto the threads of well, or desperately, maintained privacy with her both hands, fingers curling around them as if they'd been the only things she had ever known with immeasurable depth. but then there was this other part, the part that ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ to be both big and incredibly small at once, and it did come with the kind of burning that made her ribs melt and boil. long hours and several moons without proper contact with her family had formed a tight knot in her throat that'd felt difficult to swallow before her feet had finally met the rich soils of naboo again, and even more so now that she was in the presence of the strongest, fiercely caring and most inspirational person she'd ever had the privilege of knowing. having gotten quite used to studying and analyzing others rather than opening her heart for anybody except for a handful of trusted souls, padmรฉ hadn't noticed that even in the comforting and dearly missed aura of her beloved sister's, she had routinely fallen onto the deeply embedded tracks she'd been following while navigating her way trough coruscant's challenging and continuously changing webs. sola deserved better than a reunion offered by only half a heart.
a slight frown rose on padmรฉ's brows as she took sola's hands in her own ones, freeing her thumbs form tension to gently draw soft circles on her sister's warm skin. she took in a steadying breath and cast her eyes down, visibly apologetic for her dismissive take on the caring series of questions. โ i'm sorry, sister โ, she spoke thoughtfully. there was a little pause until her lips parted again, her entire being ๐๐๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ to the feeling of boundless, unconditional safety and care. โ i didn't mean to sound so defensive. bad habits fall unceremoniously, if at all, i suppose. what was it that you wished to know ? โ
