When Shockwave, Galvatron, Megatron, Starscream, and Ratchet crash-landed on Earth in the Ark, Shockwave pretended to be dead. Working in secret, he became aware of six powerful gems that, when gathered, had the power to remake the universe. After he saw one attempt to use the gems' power end in failure thanks to the inner weakness of the titan that wielded them, Shockwave reasoned that—as he did not possess the petty emotions and insecurities of organic life—he would be able to succeed where the supervillain had not, by creating gems of his own! He seeded planets with thirteen powerful ores in what he named "Project: Genesis Reborn", and in the far future, he was able recreate the powers of the gems through six of his creations: Ore-1, Ore-7, Ore-9, Ore-10, Ore-11, and Ore-13.
His struggle to retrieve these ores was called "War of S". Eventually, he accomplished his goal—and with a snap of his fingers, all non-technological beings vanished from the universe. All that stood against him were Botanica and the techno-organic beings born millions of years later. Eventually Shockwave was defeated, ending his days as a quiet farmer of techno-organic crops on an unnamed planet.
