So here we are.
Sorry I haven't made an update since arriving in Oregon. I've been caught up in getting settled and with all the things to do. Everything's really exciting and I'm loving it here. I'm getting set up in my studio and starting to meet my fellow grad students. Everyone's been super friendly and helpful and welcoming. I will be occasionally updating this blog with the fun things we do around Eugene and in Oregon. The school quarter is about to start and I'm going to get busy, but I will take time to write up what's been happening from time to time. I can keep you guys updated on what's happening in school but I think that might be boring. If you want to keep up with what's happening in my studio practice, I would recommend you follow me on Instagram, my username there is: alexanderwurts. That's where I'll be posting progress pics for the studio, bite-sized updates, etc. I'll try to do that fairly frequently. -Alex
So you’ve made it, What Now?
That’s a good question and one we aren’t sure of the answer. We figure we would play it by ear, and update you guys on what happens in this town. Think of it as a postcard, updating you on our adventures....by the way, if you guys are one of our trusted loyal people and would like our mailing address, ask us (but don’t spam us as a mean, horrible prank, okay?) we can exchange letters, etc.
stay fresh, my southern loves

Oregon-quick update
Hey! Sorry we haven't made any updates since arriving in Oregon! They are coming soon I promise! Just know that we made it to Eugene safely! It's awesome here guys. Stay tuned. -Alex
Day 6 - Ready, Set, Oregon!
In a few short hours we will finally be in Oregon.
Wish us luck.

Day 5: Idaho
Today we left Utah and drove up to Idaho where we stayed the night. It was basically a stretch of nothingness between the two places. It was mostly open spaces of dust and dirt. The most exciting parts were when we saw a few tumbleweeds along the way. Who knew tumbleweeds actually existed?
We stopped for lunch at a small diner in the middle of nowhere. It wasn’t that great. Lesson learned: Small town diners are overrated.
Unfortunately we didn't manage to get any pictures today to show you, but there’s really wasn’t much to see, so you didn’t really miss anything.
Moral of the Story; Idaho: Wind, Dust, Tumbleweeds. Nothingness.
We are in Boise, Idaho right now, soaking up some local wifi.
Tomorrow: Oregon.
Stay awesome guys.

DAY 2; end
We retract our previous statement that Kansas was boring...I mean, it was but at times it was really beautiful.
The best part was coming over a hill to see a valley FULL of giant windmills. Also, because Kansas is so flat, you could see the horizon from every way you looked. The clouds were spectacular.
We made it into Colorado by the day’s end and are staying at a hotel in Aurora, which is just outside of Denver. They are two separate cities but they seem to merge together as one (for people from Clarksville, think about the Sango area, it’s like that).
It is a beautiful town with lots of bike paths and parks around a winding creek. The Rocky Mountains (which we are driving through on Day 3) are always along the horizon. After looking around for a while, we got some things to eat and hid in our hotel room because we are tired.

Day two; Kansas
We are driving through Kansas today. If you don't hear from us again, we died of boredom. -Alex
