I respect that they used their #firstamendment rights to gather and express themselves peacefully. Keep adding to the conversation. #oregonstudentsofcolorconference #Repost @portlandstatesu with @get_repost ・・・ today, multiple members of the PSU Student Union arrived at Western Oregon University for the Oregon Students of Color Conference (where they are leading a workshop titled Grassroots Student Movements: Building Movements from the Margins Sunday afternoon, by the way, in addition to several other workshops led by members of PSUSU!). Upon arriving today, we noticed a rather strange display, the last 3 images in this set are an example of what some of the canvases said. a student at WOU has an art display up on campus that is titled #WOUBorderWall, which is a small, mimic border wall, with pieces of canvas hanging on it that are intended for people to display messages in relation to their feelings on a border wall between the US and Mexico. Naturally, we got many bottles of spray paint and painted our messages of #AbolishICE and #ChingaLaMigra over all of the pro-trump, pro-wall, anti-immigrant, and racist sentiments.
