These Baked Peanut Butter Oreo Doughnuts with a touch of vinegar are a delightful treat for any peanut butter and chocolate lover. The vinegar adds a subtle tanginess that complements the sweet and creamy flavors of the doughnuts. Perfect for breakfast or dessert!
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter. 1/4 cup buttermilk. 1/4 cup vegetable oil. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 tablespoon white vinegar. 6 Oreo cookies, crushed. For the glaze:. 1/2 cup powdered sugar. 2 tablespoons milk. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. Crushed Oreo cookies for decoration.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and grease a doughnut pan. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, combine the peanut butter, buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Stir in the crushed Oreo cookies. Add the white vinegar and stir quickly until well incorporated. Spoon the batter into the prepared doughnut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a doughnut comes out clean. Remove the doughnuts from the oven and let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze. Dip each cooled doughnut into the glaze and return them to the wire rack to allow the excess glaze to drip off. Sprinkle crushed Oreo cookies on top of the glazed doughnuts for decoration. Let the glaze set for about 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy your Baked Peanut Butter Oreo Doughnuts with a hint of vinegar!
