leliana never thought she’d ever have the opportunity to compete for the love of a girl like blaire- after all, her life is more or less opposite from that of a princess.
born in selvadorada and brought to san myshuno at age 3, she worked almost constantly as a child- most often helping her father with odd jobs, attempting to teach her mother and siblings simlish, and occasionally selling her drawings and paintings on the street. they never had much, and rather than growing up with pretty dresses, dolls, and tiaras, she watched her three sisters play with those things, albeit much cheaper versions. seeing the royals on tv always fascinated her and, when her sisters were away, she often took those ripped dresses and plastic tiaras and did her own private fashion shows- even if her family, then, would have disapproved.
back then she was given a name that she no longer uses anymore, after finally being able to start her transition just after high school. her relationship with her family was strained at first, and still has issues- but her mother was and always will be her rock, having known from the beginning and always acted as her biggest supporter. it was because of her that she even had the courage to try this challenge- having seen leliana casting wistful eyes at blaire on tv one too many times, her mother vowed no more of her special cheesy verde kimchi fried rice until she finally signed up.
so, leliana took the plunge... but will she be the one to win blaire’s heart?
