What is Trello? How does Trello help your business?

Trello is an incredible web-based project management and collaboration tool that would help you plan your projects in one platform. It is incredibly visual and highly adaptable, making your life easier when you have several people working on your project, especially when they are scattered across different physical locations.

The platform was co-founded by Fog Creek Software founder Joel Spolsky and released at a TechCrunch event in 2011. The other founder is Michael Pryor. Joel is already a familiar name in the world of entrepreneurship and startups and his blog, Joel on Software is really very popular. He shares his experiences in launching new products on his blog, and now he helps us manage projects with Trello.

The ease of working with Trello is because of its three tier information system — Boards, Lists and Cards. The projects and information about these projects would be organised into Boards, which would contain Lists.

The Lists will be assigned titles and will have their own Cards. It is these Cards that comprise the basic unit of a Trello Board. Users can drag and drop different lists on a particular board, complete tasks on these lists, create as many boards as you want, save them on the cloud or on your profile, whichever you prefer.

Hi! This is such a wholesome question! I’m flattered! 💕

Originally I decided that I didn’t want to have just plain tags like #sansa stark and instead wanted #character: sansa stark because it would be easier to separate reblogged posts from original ones. I also like to have general tags to help my search system. Like, my GOT reblogs of gifs are tagged #asoiaf: gif set and my static posts as #asoiaf: graphic. It helps me in the long run when I go looking for posts; for example, I separate my fandoms — asoiaf: gif set, sw: gif set, riverdale: gif set, etc. — from casual fandom reblog which I tag with #tv and movies: gif set. If you’re interested, I have a tag that pertains to my tagging system where I expanded some more on it. :)

Can someone tell me some good way to force myself to work? I genuinely don't want stress and pressure to push me forward 5 minutes before the deadline. Or work on it at 3 AM. Even if I work better at 3 AM, I'm too tired all the time.

so if you’re currently in uni or school, or even if you just wanna organise your notes, i just thought i’d raise awareness about onenote!!! it’s a super handy app from microsoft (one version available with office 365 and one free for windows 10) and it basically creates notebooks for you to organise your work like you would with physical notebooks

in these notebooks you can create sections for different topics so you’re not constantly confusing yourself (and you can even colour-code them!!!)

and in the different sections, you can create different pages to separate things further!!! this is really handy if you’re separating things by subject and want a different page for each week’s different topic!!! 

onenote is also on ios (and i assume android) so you can access all your stuff everywhere, and you don’t have to worry about saving anything (both on the app and on desktop) bc it saves to your onedrive cloud

how the hell do you come up with your extra shipping quotes? i love them but where do you get them?

Hi! I once answered an ask of a similar nature. The otp and the ship tags are where my dramatic, extra af, crustacean nature shines. 😅 I come up with my OTP and SHIP tags mostly from song lyrics, sometimes from paraphrased quotes and the like, sometimes I just come up with them: 

otp: bathed in sunlight; drenched in shadows — Bughead, and I just came up with this line. 

otp: hold tight; you’re slowly coming back to life — Bellarke, and it comes from one of my favourite songs, Keep Your Head Up by Birdy.

otp: in my boundless world i feel both deathless and dead cold — Jonsa in show ‘verse, and the line comes from a Romanian poem, Eminescu’s “Luceafarul”(translated as “The Morning Star”)

otp: the subtle grace of gravity; the heavy weight of stone — Jonsa again, and the line comes from another one of my favourite songs, You Are The Moon by the Hush Sound.

otp: be the lightning in me that strikes relentless — Zutara, from the song The Lightning Strike by Snow Patrol.

otp: we are the architects of our own destruction — Reylo + Star Wars ships in general; strong paraphrasing on my part of a quote by Jean-Paul Sartre, one of my preferred philosophers. 

otp: we are pieces of time that keep drifting by — literature ships, a line from another favourite song of mine, Pieces of Sky by Beth Orton.

Same logic applies to my ship tags (which often include more than one paring in them, that’s why they’re ship tags and not otp tags): ship: a parallel line to my heart, ship: you made a slow disaster out of me, etc. Most is just me coming up with dramatic sounding ships names. Others are just song lyrics, like my Harry Potter ship tag: ship: we built our love on a wasteland — which is a paraphrased line from Through the Baricades by Spandu Ballet. Or paraphrased poetry like ship: where late the sweet birds sang.

I used to try and follow the fanlore directory, but some ships names are just so meh.
