“I’m not going in. The water’s gonna sting me. It always does.” Shani glared down at the water and by extent his own reflection. Even though it was just the two of them here this late, he could still come up with reasons to stay out of the pool, one after the other. “Besides I suck at swimming. People aren’t meant to go in the water. It’s horrible and you all are nuts for thinking it’s fun. I dunno how I even got pulled into being taught.”

But this was painful, she was still away from Sapphire, and honestly a big part of her wished this guy would have left her hand alone instead of trying to fix it. She knew it would get worse if it wasn't fixed, and yet... wasn't that always the truth? The 'cure' hurt worse than the injury. “ Aghh --!! ” A hiss escaped from between her clenched teeth, her eyes snapping shut. “ I'm trying to stay still, but it REALLY hurts ! Maybe it hurts because you have no idea what you're doing, ever think of that ?! I don't have time for this ! ”
