I read the last message you answered and I have to say I'm actually about the opposite! I absolutely despise all the chocolates and flowers, and grandstanding gestures of romance. Though I don't mind the act of falling in love with, I just don't do it very often. Is this alright too?

Anything short of being disrespectful of/killing people is okay. Romantic actions aren't for everyone. Don't ever feel pressured to enjoy them just because you're still chill with falling in love. 

And if anyone tells you that you have to like romance just put on a pair of sunglasses, flip them off with both hands, and moonwalk the hell out of there.

Okay so I figured you are the best blog to ask this stuff. So I just recently figured that I myself am aromantic, but I also am actually a huge sucker for anything romance? Like romance novels, cheesy romance movies etc etc, just not when it comes to myself obviously. And While I'm aware that my romantic orientation has nothing to do with what I like in fictional universes it just is a bit confusing. And idk I guess I just wanted to know if there are other aromantics with the same interests?

Yeah that sort of thing can be immensely confusing. You might like the aesthetic qualities of romance. Red roses, dimly lit rooms, slow dancing, slow sweet kisses, those kind of things can be immensely appealing to some people, including aromantics! Just like there are some asexuals who love reading slash fictions and writing sex, the same idea can be applied to the romantic side.
