The Penumbra Podcast has sort of ruined me because I am 300% less willing to tolerate queerbaiting than I was before so like what am I supposed to read/watch/listen to?

Someone in my study group earlier today called himself a dumbass over something like this, and my TA stopped him and said, no, you’re smart. Say that you did something silly. Be honest and kind to yourself.
And this is good advice generally, but being the geek I am, the first person I thought about was Jesper, because the difference between “intrinsically stupid” and “did something silly” really applies to a lot of the hard time he gets, from fandom yeah but also from other characters and kinda from himself sometimes.

What luck! It sounds like he’s in!

I’m listening to Juno Steel again: tonight’s program is Peter Nureyev and the Angel of Brahma. I think...I think I really like the Juno arc.
Hey uh. The music. In Peter Nureyev and the Angel of Brahma. Especially the end of part 2. Gorgeous. They really just decided to give the episode to Ryan Vibert huh.
Peter, muttering: “clear your mind, clear your mind...”
Sir Damien, a universe away: nice dude
In terms of representation, one of the nicest things about Juno Steel is that he’s a lady, but he’s not always a lady! When I was listening to Train From Nowhere for the first time recently, I noticed that through the whole thing, he uses masculine words to describe himself. He shows up to that game of Rangian Street Poker in a suit Peter got for him. And it’s okay! It doesn’t change how people see him. He doesn’t become Permanently A Man to anyone! He’s just Juno Steel, bigender private eye, and he doesn’t have to worry that claiming one gender will make him lose the other. It’s very cool.
