Just A Random Inspiration
"And another fight with Athena." Lyra muttered under her breath and started to run. She sprinted with vampire speed, never knowing where her feet were taking her. Lyra knew that she just had to run, to get away from it all. In only a couple of days, she managed to alienate her new friends and piss off Athena, once again.
"Funny," she thought to herself, "I thought I could come back and make things right. Granted, I am still... me but I thought she was bigger than that."
Lyra abruptly came to a halt, her sudden stop throwing dirt up in the air. Lyra looked around and wondered where she was. Lyra could smell the fragrant flowers and hear the wind whistle through the leaves. She exhaled, dazed by nature's vibrant beauty. This was her place; the same one she found when she first turned. It was one of her favorite spots; it made her feel like she was really part of the human race again. Lyra didn't exactly know why but, she accepted it.
Suddenly, a rustling to Lyra's right made her jump. A dark haired figure stood in the shade of a enormous oak. She could see that he was like her, a monster.
"Who are you?" She called to the man.
"Come closer, you will know."
Cautious, Lyra crept forward. She paused and suddenly smiled.
"Valentine!" She cried, jumping into her companion's embrace. She kissed his mouth as he ran a hand through her long hair. When they broke for air, she looked at the man she would never forget.
"Valentine, I've missed you," Lyra said breathlessly, biting her lower lip, "What are you doing here?"
His black eyes narrowed as he wickedly smile, "I'm here to have some fun, Sweetheart."
