So something that’s been nagging at me for a while...

Like, yes, they’re alternatives but they’re still the SAME person. Their lives took different directions but they do the same thing, they act how the other would act. Note: I’m not saying they’re clones of one another. I just don’t get people saying stuff like, they prefer Rogers because he’s a better man than Jones. Like... I guess he kind of is, but only because he’s been offered more opportunities to be a better man than Jones was. Like, people point out the White Elephant as an example but I’m pretty sure Jones would have done the same thing if the opportunity presented itself to him. I just don’t understand the people who hate Jones but love Rogers? And then there are those who hate Rogers but love Jones. And just so we’re clear, liking and disliking is not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about the people who hate with venom and love with their entire souls. I don’t understand being so passionately for one but so passionately against the other.

I’m not saying don’t have your favs. I mean I much prefer Rogers but that is because I prefer his story and his relationship with others. But, if it’s about the ships (CaptainSwan or KnightRook) or their story, just come out and say it already. There’s nothing wrong with liking a character purely because of the way his story was told.

Again, because I’m not sure if I’m making this clear; I’m specifically talking about hating/loving one because of their choices or personality - because the other would have made the exact same choice and acted the exact same way if they were in that situation.

I think I’m gonna start a new series called:

Bad Writing or Hidden Depth

(Maybe with a different name, lol!) Because there are so many of them in this show that I can’t tell if it’s bad writing or if it’s secret genius! XD

Basically Anti WishHook people and even Wish Hook himself repeatedly says that he left the Original Hook (let’s call them Jones and Rogers to save time) for dead when he went to replace him and run off with Emma.

So is it possible that Rogers was just bluffing about all of it. That he never intended to kill Jones, and that he just wanted to be him long enough to get Emma’s TLK. Then he’d leave her in search of his daughter and Jones would naturally wake on his own (like he did in the episode). He probably didn’t even care if they found each other after he was done with them - until he learned Jones was going to be a father - which was why he changed his mind at the last second. Because then he suddenly DID care if they found their way back together again.
