(There is not much logic to the order because we just listed them as we thought of them, sorry!) Everything has been checked by a native Chinese speaker (李英杰) but of course, we’re all human. The Aurora Borealis over Estes Park in the wee hours of Saturday morning.

And seen from Many Parks Curve in Rocky Mountain National Park earlier that night. This isn't what the naked eye saw, of course, but it was still stunning!

And looking south from the same point over Longs Peak. The pink glow was visible even in the southern sky.

I took my dad on a hike to Mills Lake (well, he made it most of the way there, but cut him a break; he's 73 and this was his first major mountain hike since he got a brand new knee last year!) and along the way, by Alberta Falls, I watched a couple golden mantled ground squirrels starting to get amorous.

I'd been watching the one, just sitting by the falls, there, and once the other approached, I backed off to try to give them space.
