WIP ask game - I'm curious about #8. An Unexpected Ghost 🤔

Hello, lovely! I pray you are safe and sound <3

An Unexpected Ghost is a little odd-ball one I have been working off-on for, gosh, 10 years? It is a Hobbit fanfic that focuses on the relationship between Bilbo and Tauriel. It isn't a romance per se but more of a platonic soulmate AU, like my Black Panther When the Princess Met the Colonizer story. Basically, Tauriel is trying to determine what she wants to do with the rest of her life and she goes to Bagend to spend some time in the Shire and heal her still broken heart.

Here is one of the lines from it:

“Hmm?” He sighed, turning to her. Gandalf had said others saw her as a ghost and, perhaps, they were right. She was beautiful, timeless, and he knew her presence would linger with him long after she was gone.
