Regrettably, he could perfectly well say that he had been in a similar situation before, but he didn’t quite remember it all that well, mostly because it was erased from his memory by a being of high power. Of course, once he’d made the ultimate sacrifice, any sort of tampering like that had been undone, but the damage was lasting. Still, being trapped in some sort of labyrinth with new companions at his side did in fact ring a bell, prompting long-lost memories to come flooding in, but in a sort of wishy-washy way, like how the waves of the sea crash on the beach, leaving it damp and soggy but not entirely full of water. The most important fact that returned to the blue-haired boy’s mind was that despite its indestructible and impressive-looking walls, the dungeons his group explored always had one flaw, an easily exploitable flaw, but almost an intentionally placed flaw.
Yuki continued errantly tapping against the thicket’s surface, the evident confusion on the faces of his exhausted allies turning into annoyance, and then immediately into amazement. ‘’Voila.’’ the young man muttered to himself, his right palm fully resting on a plate that had previously been hidden by the vines covering the walls of the maze. In front of him a path was opening up, the labyrinth itself churning slowly and quietly, as if a machine was grinding its gears, the reverberations echoing into the distance, revealing the size of the whole dungeon. ‘’Shall we go through, or do you want me to add this shortcut to our drawn map?’’ The blue-haired man asked, referring to the notebook he would occasionally scribble into between monster encounters. Since Fuuka was not here to assist as a navigator, he had to fall back to the old method of drawing your own map. It was nothing spectacular, but it did its job.
