t he couldn’t bring himself to do it. The text to Morgan ended with a smiling emoticon. Perhaps, if he lied to himself enough, he would believe it, and become happy once again.
‘’I sincerely hope I helped you with your research into Persona, though I think it’s time for me to go. Do you need help? There is an awful lot of books here, and you cannot convince me you intend to carry all of them by yourself.’’ The stack was indeed, quite large, causing one to wonder how the boy managed to bring it here in the first place. ‘’Maybe I could even help myself to one of these magic books, for a bit of light reading before bed.’’
The look the boy gave his phone looked to be something of reminiscing. How he stared at the phone, he could only attempt to understand how he felt about being here. While he wasn’t the most.. expressive as Morgan noticed, but that kind of look did make him feel a bit bad about how he might have missed his friends and the like. But Morgan wasn’t an expert on people.. maybe it was just a loose thought he had with him.
When asked if he needed help with the books before him, Morgan shook his head with a smile on his face, not wanting to take more of Makoto’s day out like this, working on stacking the books properly to carry back for later. When he thought of a book on magic to read, Morgan quickly skimmed through the books he had, pulling it out and handing it to the boy with a smile on his face.
" I should be alright to carry all of these. It wasn’t too difficult the first time, it shouldn’t be too difficult the second. If you’ve somewhere to go I would hate to keep you, but here, you may have this as a gift! I’m not sure how much it will tell you given that I didn’t understand much from its contents, but perhaps it might suit you better.
It’s a bit on the long side and if you ever need help with it, feel free to call me whenever you’d like, I’ll do my best in helping you understand them. It never hurts, right? I’ll be sure to keep up my studies on Personas in the meantime. “
Holding the book to his chest, in a way reminiscent of a certain Velvet Room attendant, Yuki saw his new friend off, waving his hand as the boy walked into the distance, almost crashing into a random passerby. Well, he was quite reassuring that he’d handle himself, so regardless if carrying those tomes would be an issue or not, Makoto had faith that Morgan would reach his home safely.
The blue-haired boy looked down at the present he jokingly received. Flipping through the pages, it was still mostly ineligible to the young man. But the importance of such a gift could not be downplayed. Instead, he took it as a personal challenge to decipher the contents and return to the brilliant mage with proof of understanding. A titanic task, but not one completely unachievable. Spending a few days in a row at the library before exams was tough but fun, so why wouldn’t this be?
Sighing, Yuki walked away from the bench, tome in hand, already thinking about his next encounter with Morgan.
