I'm pretty sure 2D is more available in other places, yeah. ;/ I haven't seen a 3D movie since Captain Eo in like 1988

2D, which was everything I wanted it to be. I don't love 3D films.

I would only see it in 2D. I'm not impressed with any 3D I've seen, plus I wear glasses a lot, and the 3D glasses are a massive pain. I'm too broke to go any movies right now, though I'd like to see it. 3D is way overrated though.

2D- I've seen a couple of things in 3D and it's never been worth the extra expense.

Depends on the film but I do like 3D.

2D. Only maybe half the showings here are 3D, and I cannot/will not ever see a 3D movie. (Migraines AND the glasses thing.)
Ok, so.. 5 votes more or less against 3D and 1 for.. I know this isn’t an actual representatively large enough sample of the general population, but I honestly wonder why cinemas and movie studios are still so hyped up about 3D movies when... most movie-goers are at best indifferent or ‘meh’ about it and at worst get terrible migraines/headaches from them..
as for my own local cinema, they do often show movies in both 2D and 3D, but for some reason I keep wanting to see things they apparently aren’t expecting a very large crowd/run on or something, so I think that might be why they choose to pick only one of the 2 versions, unfortunately that version is usually the 3D one, which p much excludes people like me from being able to go see it (at least at this particular theater that is)..
it probably doesn’t help that for movies aimed at children they also show the dutch dubbed version, which means there are literally 4 different versions of Ice Age (Dutch 2D and 3D + English 2D and 3D) showing at the same time at my theater, so that probably means they’ll have to cut down on the options for other movies since they only have a limited number of screens/rooms they can simultaneously show movies on and a limited number of time slots (although the dutch versions probably show in the afternoon since those will probably only attract families with young children.. everyone else is used to/prefers subtitles over here)
anyway.. it’s just frustrating since this is the second time this is happening that I want to see a movie and the only option I have is 3D.. the first time (jupiter ascending) I begrudgingly tried it out and I hated it (loved the movie, but hated the 3D aspects), so... not doing that again. :\
