Orion was a child from Al Maajik! His parents were both very astute wizards, heroes, that kept on the down-low. they wanted to make the PERFECT knight, right?
So before Orion was born, they combined him with the DNA of a Gigante from the Ancient Ruins. Magic voodoo, ooooooh.
They had a son, and named him Hamza. His father, Hasan, loved him very much, but his mother, Victoria... did not.
Hamza would often break things and throw VIOLENT temper tantrums. Hasan always calmed Hamza down... but Victoria had it one day when Hamza broke a vase.
So, she made Hasan abandon their boy in the Elderwood when he was four.
Thus, Hamza became Orion, except for a long time he did not know his name. He always thought of "Hamza" to be an insult, because of the way he was always called. He was only four. He lived with the wolves for a very, very long time. He at least remembered his age, and ended up counting how many seasons he'd lived in the forest because the spirits would talk to him.
He never actually lived in a home, either. In the past until abandoned, he lived in a small room in the Ancient Ruins. Of course, there were VALUABLES to the PREVIOUS SULTANS in there. That's the vase he broke. He has vague memories of ALSO talking to Calamitus.
Very vague.
But the Elderwood spirits gave him a new birthday and helped him keep track of time, as well as teaching him Castelian to be able to communicate with nearby humans. He can sort of read, but he cannot write.Semi illiterate. He'd sneak into Castele a lot as a child and honestly got arrested four times. He's FAR too well known by Mustang...
Now, he's 22, and he lives in Castele forest on a little mat under a tree with his pet bird, Ludo!
