Fanfic: Littlest Pet Shop: Pets' Big Adventure. Chapter 3. A Dangerous Beginning To An Andventure
Blythe was panicking, despite her conversation with the pets yesterday.
"Why do I always have problems? How will Mrs. Twombly react? What will the pets' owners say?" she panicked.
She glanced at the wall clock and thought about how to find the pets without the owners and Mrs. Twombly guessing about it. As she left the pet room and passed the cash register, she heard a voice that was almost frightening.
"Blythe, how are our little ones doing?" the older woman asked.
"Um...Very well. And...Their owners picked them up recently" Blythe lied.
"So early? They said they'd come after lunch" Mrs. Twombly said, confused.
"Well...Um...They changed their minds and decided to pick them up early" Blythe continued lying.
Anna Twombly thought for a moment and said: "Well, alright then. I hope our little ones will be back soon, no more than a day".
"Yes, me too" the teenage girl agreed with a fake smile.
Then Blythe left Littlest Pet Shop and walked to school to figure out a real way to find the pets.
"I need to ask Youngmee for help" she said, hoping her plan would work.
Meanwhile, the trailer had safely passed through the city, and Orm and sleeping pets were already driving along a forest road. A couple of hours later, they reached the mountain. Orm began driving up it without fear. Sunil woke up for the second time, but not from thirst, but from the feeling that they were going up. Sunil glanced around the bedroom to see who was driving, but all his friends were asleep, including Russell, who had been the first one behind the wheel earlier. The shock woke Sunil up completely.
"Wait a minute...If everyone's asleep, then who's driving?" he asked, confused.
Mongoose ran into the cabin and realized it was Orm.
"Orm?!" Sunil asked in surprise.
Orm looked back and said with a smile, "Oh, you're awake already? Good job".
"What are you doing here?! And why are we driving up the mountain?!" the blue male asked loudly.
Sunil's scream woke the others and they came.
"What are you shouting about, Sunil?" Zoe asked, her eyes barely open.
"We're driving through the mountain!" Sunil answered loudly.
"Orm! Where are you taking us?! Lead us back!" Russell shouted.
"Everything's under control, Prickly Kolobok. We're just going on a trip around the world" Orm reassured the hedgehog.
"What trip?! We need to go home!" the orange male shouted again, grabbing the steering wheel.
Orm and Russell held the wheel simultaneously and turned in opposite directions. The others were barely holding on due to the sharp turns.
"Can you please stop turning so sharply? I feel sick right now" Penny said.
"Me too. And I need to go to the restroom" Sunil said.
"In this exact situation?" Vinnie asked.
Suddenly, the trailer was already at the very top of the mountain, and all the heroes leaned against the cabin.
"Oh, I suddenly felt so warm" the gecko said , feeling something wet on his body.
"Ah, I feel relieved" the mongoose relaxed, having accomplished his number one.
Vinnie's eyes widened in shock when he realized where the warmth was coming from and realized it was Sunil above him.
"Ummm...Guys, we're about to fall" Pepper said, looking out the window.
"I can't move because of the extra weight" the green lizard said.
"Hey!" the blue male shouted angrily.
Suddenly, a strong wind miraculously lifted the trailer and sent it flying in an unknown direction. The pets and Orm screamed.
"Where are we flying?!" Minka asked.
"How should I know?! I didn't do anything!" Russell replied.
"WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!" Sunil yelled.
"Russell, quickly take the remote and turn the tent into something else, or we'll crash!" Zoe said.
“How should I know where it is!” the green-eyed hedgehog shouted.
A few minutes later, the trailer flew even further and miraculously landed almost at the very top of a tree. And the trailer was miraculously unharmed. The tree itself stood on some hill covered with snow.
"Oh...I feel more nauseous now than before" Sunil said.
"Not just you, Sunil" Penny said.
"Where are we anyway?" Russell asked, looking out the window.
"What do you mean 'where'? On a trip around the world" Orm replied confidently.
"On a trip? Most likely in danger" Pepper commented.
Orm opened the cabin door and jumped straight out onto the ground.
"How can you land from such a high altitude without getting hurt?" Vinnie asked curiously.
"Long training" the skunk replied boastfully.
The pets carefully exited the cabin, climbing down the tree.
"Wow! So much snow! Let's make a snowman!" Minka looked around while on the ground.
"What the hell is this place anyway? It doesn't look like the North Pole. And besides, it's summer now" Russell said, looking around.
"Maybe this is Greenland?" Minka wondered.
"Orm, do you know where the remote is?" the dog asked.
"You mean this remote?" Orm asked, holding up the remote control he'd pulled out of nowhere.
"You had it the whole time? And you didn't say anything?!" the hedgehog asked angrily.
"Relax, Prickly Kolobok. We're safe and sound" the black male reassured.
"Give us back the remote now" the prickly pet said sternly.
"Okay, okay, take it" the skunk said, handing the hedgehog the remote.
"That's it. We're going home. Blythe's probably already worried about us" Russell said.
"Then you won't have the chance to see the whole world" Orm said.
"We can handle this ourselves" the hedgehog said.
"Russell, maybe we should take Orm with us? Maybe Blythe can find a suitable owner for him?" the panda suggested.
“If there is a human in this world with the same quirks as Orm, then perhaps he will become his owner” the orange male said sarcastically.
"Don't even try to talk me into it. I've lived my whole life without bipedal creatures" the skunk insisted.
"You mean humans?" Vinnie tried to understand.
"Oh, come on, Orm. It's very rare for skunks to become pets" Pepper said.
"I still refuse" Orm insisted again.
“Orm, don’t provoke us” Zoe looked at him angrily.
“No way” the black skunk said in a firm tone, suddenly standing up on his hind legs and feeling that the ice under him had not crumbled as he was the only one standing on the edge of the hill. “I almost fell” he sighed with relief, but then the ice finally broke apart and rolled down.
"Be careful!" Penny shouted toward the slope where Orm had fallen.
"Do you think we should save him?" Pepper asked.
Russell just sighed, realizing that this needed to be done.
Orm continued sliding down the snow on his ice "board," overcoming various obstacles like in some games. Then the ice split into two pieces, and the skunk stood on one hind leg, ballet-style. And then the black male tripped on a snow-covered rock and, losing the ice, rolled on his own body. A few seconds later, Orm began to fall into the abyss. Having already forgotten his courage, he began to scream, thinking it would be the end for him. But the pets, having transformed the tent into a snowboard, rolled down just in time, saving their new friend. Orm instinctively grabbed Pepper but kept screaming. Everyone on their snowboards skidded down a different snowy road.
"Brace for impact!" Russell shouted, standing ahead of everyone on their snowboard.
A couple of minutes later, they crashed through the gate, breaking it open and finding themselves in a large greenhouse. Orm continued to shout.
"Um...Orm..." Pepper tried to stop him from screaming.
Orm stopped screaming, looked at Pepper, and moved away.
"Um...Consider that I saved you" he said awkwardly.
Pepper looked at him questioningly.
Vinnie laughed and said: "Wow, Orm. You scream better than Sunil".
Sunil rolled his eyes in irritation.
"Wow. Just look at this garden" Penny Ling said, looking around.
"A greenhouse in the middle of a snowy place? That's unusual" Russell commented.
"But the flowers smell nice" Zoe sniffed one rose.
Russell pressed the button with the mini-bag icon on the remote control. The snowboard transformed into a small handbag. The hedgehog placed the remote control inside.
"Minka, I'm giving you responsibility for our tent" he handed the bag to the monkey.
"Everything will be under control, Russell" the pink female said, holding the bag with her tail.
"I'll find something to eat there now. You, Prickly Kolobok, come with me. The rest of you, keep watch" Orm said.
"We won't steal. We'll just beg for some food" Penny said, dismissing Orm's idea.
"You don't understand what life is" the black skunk said with a smile.
"How you've gotten on our nerves!" Russell shouted angrily, grabbing a small stone and throwing it at Orm.
The black male deftly dodged the stone, which flew far away, where the sound of the trap could be heard.
"Who's there?" an unfamiliar female voice called.
"Looks like we disturbed someone" Vinnie commented.
A plump, black-and-gray female raccoon with dark green eyes approached them, holding a cane.
"Um...Hello, miss" Penny tried to be polite.
"We'll explain everything to you. We got here by accident" Russell tried to explain to the raccoon.
"What have you done to my greenhouse, you little hooligans?" the black-and-gray female raccoon asked angrily.
"We didn't do it on purpose. We swear" Zoe admitted.
Orm, without touching the wilted-looking roses, secretly brought them back to life with just his one front paw. The raccoon sniffed the scent of the revived roses.
"What's that smell?" she asked, confused.
"Um...That's what roses smell like" Pepper pointed at the roses, confused by the female raccoon's lack of understanding.
The plump female examined the roses carefully and said: "Hmm. These roses would make two bouquets".
"There are only five of them. Ouch!" Vinnie said, and was hit on the head with the female raccoon's cane.
"Stupid. Two roses, one each, and one for the compost" she replied.
"Sounds strange" the orange hedgehog commented.
"Listen, miss. We ended up here by accident and didn't mean to disturb you" the purple panda began.
"But...Since nothing terrible happened, I think we'll go home" Sunil said and started to leave.
The female raccoon grabbed Sunil by the cane and said: "Stop! Where to? I can't let you all go hungry in this winter cold".
"We'd love to, but we need to go home" Minka said.
"I'll give you some hot tea" the plump black-and-gray female said.
"Well...If only for a little while" Russell agreed politely.
"Of course, not for long" she said, directing her pets toward the greenhouse.
Orm, with a female raccoon's mistrust, followed them silently.
At this time, Blythe was in a bad mood at school. Her friends Youngmee, Jasper, and Sue noticed this with concern. Even Whitanny and Brittany Biskits noticed, but only with a smirk, thinking they'd make fun of her later. It was breakfast time at school. Blythe took her portion, sat down at the dining table where she always sits and, with a loss of appetite, began to think about the pets.
"Where could you be?" she wondered out loud about them.
Yangmee, Jasper, and Sue joined them with their breakfast portions.
"Blythe, what's bothering you so much?" Yangmee began to ask.
Blythe sighed sadly and replied: "The pets have been missing since this morning. I lied to Mrs. Twombly that their owners took them early in the morning. Now I don't know what to tell their owners themselves about this because they're actually going to pick them up after lunch. I'm completely lost".
"The pets have disappeared again? Blythe, I know it's not the first time, but...They've disappeared since this morning? That's something new" Jasper commented.
"Were they all there yesterday?" Sue asked.
"Yes. They were all there before bed" the blue-eyed girl replied.
"What if someone kidnapped them while you were sleeping?" Jasper wondered.
"Kidnapped? Who? If it was the Biskits, I doubt it. They hate them themselves" Blythe said.
"But we can't figure out the real reason for their disappearance. And even more so, we have to find them secretly from Mrs. Twombly and their owners" Youngmee said.
“First, we need to figure out how to lie to their owners so they don’t come to the pet shop” the brown-haired girl said.
"What if we lie to them and say that you, your dad, and the pets flew off to some country for a few days?" Sue suggested.
"Which country? China? France? Brazil?" Blythe asked.
"We could take Great Britain. Like you wanted to show the pets what life was like under Queen Elizabeth II" Jasper suggested.
"Do you think they'll believe me like I did before the flight to Shanghai and Rio?" Blythe asked hopefully.
"They'll absolutely believe you. After all, you're responsible for them when their owners aren't around" the guy replied.
Blythe sighed and said: "I think you're right".
"Everything will be fine, Blythe. We'll find as many as we need" Youngmee said with a gentle smile, reassuring her friend.
Blythe smiled softly and silently in response, still worried about her little friends.
Meanwhile, in the large greenhouse, the female raccoon began treating the pets to tea and gingerbread.
"Help yourself, my dears" the raccoon said.
"Thank you very much" Russell replied politely.
The pets began drinking tea and eating gingerbread while the female raccoon went off to get them more treats. Orm, who was standing off to the side, distrusting the female raccoon, couldn't help but notice how his new friends were eating the gingerbread. Pepper noticed Orm and playfully gestured for him to come over to her, holding a gingerbread cookie in her front paw. The dark-green-eyed skunk gestured for her to give him a gingerbread cookie because he was hungry. But the pink-eyed skunk teasingly ate the whole cookie. Orm waved his front paw with mild frustration and disappeared from her sight. Pepper giggled softly, continuing her meal. Russell shook his head, but said nothing. Minka secretly placed the remaining gingerbread cookies in her small purse to eat later. A few minutes later, the female raccoon returned with more cookies.
"Eat to your heart's content, children" the black-and-gray female said.
"I'm afraid I won't be able to eat any more. I need to keep in shape" Zoe said.
"I can eat for you, Zoe" Penny said, starting to take a few gingerbread cookies with her new portion.
"Can I have some more tea, please?" Sunil asked the female raccoon politely.
"Of course, my dear young man. Don't be bored" the female raccoon replied, quietly plucking a flower from a bush and leaving to get more tea.
Only Pepper noticed this and wanted to know what the female raccoon was up to.
"I'll be there soon" the female skunk lied to her friends and quietly followed the mysterious stranger.
Her friends merely nodded, continuing to eat.
Pepper followed the female raccoon quietly, trying not to make a sound. But suddenly, she felt Orm's paw grab her throat.
"Listen, friend! I never joke around with food! I'll give you such a hard time!" Orm yelled at her.
"Wait, Orm! I think this stranger is about to do something!" Pepper gasped.
"What?" he asked, surprised, releasing her.
"Let's go. Just be quiet" she replied briefly.
The two skunks quietly made their way to where the female raccoon was making a fresh batch of tea for the pets.
"More tea, more. Stupid youth. You'll soon be staying in my greenhouse forever" the female raccoon said, making another batch of tea and adding the flower she'd picked.
Female raccoon, finishing making tea, picked up a tray with seven cups and went back to the pets, leaving the teapot half-empty. Pepper and Orm approached.
"What do we do now?" Pepper asked.
"We'll test this tea now" Orm replied.
"Are you crazy?" she asked, surprised.
But the male didn't listen to her. He walked up to the teapot, stood on his hind legs, picked it up, and shook it to check for any residue. After making sure there was some tea left, the skunk carefully dripped some from the teapot's spout onto his finger to test the taste. For Orm, the tea tasted good and he drank all the rest of the tea, and slightly passed gas, causing Pepper to fall to the ground as she was standing behind him.
"Wow. I'd recognize that oblivion potion out of a thousand. Ah, old hag. Come with me, my friend" Orm said and went to stop the female raccoon.
Pepper stood up from the ground and shook her head to regain full consciousness.
Meanwhile, the female raccoon placed the tray on the table where the pets were sitting. They were just about to drink tea, but Orm immediately stopped them.
"Stop, stop, stop. I think we've been sitting here long enough. It's time for us to continue on our way. Guys, pack up, we're leaving" the black skunk said, passing gas again.
"Orm" Russell glared at him, holding his nose.
The other pets also held their noses and glared at Orm.
"Sorry it's a oblivion potion. And by the way, this lady just wanted to give you that potion" the black male apologized and warned.
"What? How dare you, stinking thing?" the female raccoon complained, trying to hide the fact that Orm had exposed her.
"Is it true? You wanted to poison us?" Zoe asked her, not believing her ears.
"I won't make you leave" the fat female said.
"We're leaving. Come on, guys" Russell said, getting up from the table along with the others.
But Orm and the pets didn't even have time to get out before the vines grabbed them.
"Hey! Let us go!" Vinnie shouted, trying to get out of the vines.
Orm didn't think long about what to do and bit down hard on a vine, causing all the vines to flee back to where they came from.
Penny gasped when she saw Orm do it, but didn't have time to say anything until the female raccoon did.
"I'm not done with you yet. Ivy" the plump female said, calling out to someone.
A huge, long ivy appeared behind her. The pets' and Orm's eyes widened at this.
"What do we do now?" Minka asked her friends.
"I know what to do. RUN!" Sunil replied.
The pets and Orm started running.
"Follow them!" the female raccoon ordered the ivy.
The huge plant obediently chased after them. The young animals ran as fast as they could.
"We won't make it!" Penny looked back.
"Run! I'll hold it off!" the male skunk said.
"Are you crazy?" Russell asked, surprised.
"Run!" the black male shouted.
The pets looked at Orm hesitantly at first, but then began to run away after listening to their new friend. Orm took a fighting stance, facing the direction the ivy was creeping.
"Take that!" he shouted, successfully hitting ivy karate-style, but harder than he had done to the guard earlier, and ran on to catch up with his new friends.
By this time, the pets had almost reached the exit.
"We're almost there!" the hedgehog shouted.
But suddenly Pepper felt her hind leg grabbed and she screamed. Ivy didn't give up easily and managed to catch its first prey.
"PEPPER!!!" her friends noticed in horror.
"LET HER GO!" Orm shouted angrily at the ivy.
"STAY AWAY! IT'LL GRAB YOU TOO!" Vinnie screamed.
But the male skunk boldly ran to save Pepper. He first considered whether it was worth the risk, but then realized he had to act quickly.
"DON'T PESTLE US ANYMORE, STUPID PLANT!" he shouted at the ivy, snapping his fingers and magically forcing the large plant to quickly let go of Pepper and return to its owner.
Russell, Vinnie, Sunil, Zoe, Minka, Penny, and Pepper were in shock.
"Am I dreaming, or did Orm really do this?" the blue mongoose asked.
"I'm also awake and increasingly amazed by Orm's talents" the green gecko replied.
"Orm, how did you do that? It's...Simply physically impossible" the pink monkey inquired.
"I'll explain later. Now we need to get out before this lady comes up with a new plan" the black skunk replied.
They all left the greenhouse to be at a safe distance from the female raccoon.
When they were far enough away from the greenhouse, Russell said: "That's it. That stranger won't be able to get us now".
"So, Orm, now explain what happened when you saved Pepper" the purple dog began.
"Are you some kind of magician? If so, teach me, because my magic tricks aren't always successful" Sunil concluded.
"I'm not just a skunk. I'm a magical skunk. I can do a lot of things, and I'm a big dreamer. I can even make all humans understand our language" Orm replied boastfully.
Russell rolled his eyes in irritation. Penny giggled softly at the hedgehog.
"I seriously can" the male skunk said to his prickly friend.
"You're talking too much nonsense" Russell told him.
"And by the way, thank you, Orm, for saving me" Pepper said.
"My instincts were just too active. I couldn't help myself" Orm admitted.
Minka pulled a gingerbread cookie out of purse and handed it to him: "Here you go, Orm. It's not lunch, of course, but we saved some for you too".
Orm's stomach rumbled, though he wanted to refuse despite his hunger.
"I don't accept food from those who joke with it" he said firmly.
"Come on, Orm, just take it" the female skunk said.
"I don't want it" the dark-green-eyed male turned away.
"Okay then. Then this gingerbread will be mine" the pink-eyed female said jokingly, taking the gingerbread to tease Orm again.
The black skunk noticed this out of the corner of his eye and couldn't stand it.
"Hey! Get your paws off!" he shouted, taking the gingerbread from her and eating it.
Pepper laughed and said: "Come on, Orm, I was just kidding. I'm not that greedy".
"I don't know what you're up to, friend, but remember, I'm also vindictive" Orm said.
"Okay, enough jokes. Blythe's probably going crazy that we're not here. Minka, get the remote" the green-eyed hedgehog said.
"Are you coming home? I can help you. I can do everything without technology" the black skunk said.
"Without technology?" Zoe asked, surprised.
"Of course. We all lined up like soldiers" he replied.
"We're pets, not soldiers" Vinnie said, like a protesting human teenager.
Russell sighed with displeasure and said sarcastically, "This is going to be a very long journey".
"Prickly Kolobok, you stand next to me. The rest of us will stay behind" Orm commanded.
Russell growled slightly, but obediently stood next to Orm. The others stood behind them in pairs. Sunil was with Vinnie, Pepper with Zoe, and Penny with Minka.
"Now, march!" Orm shouted cheerfully and energetically.
And they all set off, not knowing what might await them next.
