It was a bad idea. He knew it, yet did it anyway. Now, he was paying the price for it.
While his species dealt with the manipulation of Chaos, there were still some methods of manipulation that Gale had yet to fully master. One of them was displacement. While he could pop in and out of reality most of the time without difficulty, if he wasn’t focusing completely on his destination-- he could find himself in an entirely new environment.
This was exactly what had happened. He was distracted, and had gone and performed the spell anyway. As he felt the Chaos carry him he cursed himself for his own foolishness. As he felt two feet come in contact with the ground below, he cursed himself even more. He’d gone and went to a world that required the shift of his physical form-- great...
“Oh for the love of Celestia...” Wearily, he opened his eyes, and looked down at his hands. After which, he collapsed to his knees-- unfamiliar with how bipedal legs worked. “W-well... i-it could b-b-be worse...”
Looking around at his surroundings, he realized that it had gotten worse. He was in the middle of nowhere, in some kind of... ravine? W-wait-- c-could those weird spider things hurt him? They certainly looked menacing...
