"you're not mad at me are you, harrison?" cue the angelic pout, even if her actions were anything but. whilst pamela was usually cool, calm and mostly collected, there were a handful of things she could not tolerate and another woman attempting to hit on her man was one of those things. "you want me to apologize to her?"

"well," he exhales whilst taking a seat against the couch. "i think we can say without hesitation that you very successfully won everyone over back there." not that he was remotely surprised, but it was understandable that he was nervous. it meant a lot to him. it wasn't often that he introduced someone to his family. a rarity. so much so, he can't recall another instance... "how do you feel?"

"i don't think these lines are going to go in before the audition," she's more thinking out loud, but it's a concern she wishes to share with her girlfriend. her gaze meets with the other woman's, expression scrunched as she makes her feelings clear. "this is..." she trails off, attempting to think beyond the present. "...the first time this has ever happened to me." she suspects it's nerves. there's no role she wants more than this one.

he felt as if he was losing his mind. whilst recovering from his injury - a fractured hand - he hadn't been able to do much at all. basil could safely say he'd never felt more useless in his life. although he tries not to, he's definitely making it everybody else's problem, his wife no exception. "why did he have to fall on my dominant hand? i swear to god, he was gunning for me the whole night."

"why do i feel like you've been avoiding me?" although the words fall clearly, there's a wave of uncertainty that fills every word. he just hopes that the shallow confidence that blankets his question is enough for them not to recognize it. "is something wrong?" what goes left unsaid; have i done something wrong?
