Oh no khhc has tagged me in 'name 10 books that have stuck with you' and I can't even think of 10 books (that aren't to do with my course) that I've read lately. So this is digging way back to my childhood, when I actually read things.
1. The Universe Nextdoor - A great piece of science writing that discusses 12 mind blowing ideas at the cutting edge of science.
2. Astrosaurs - Read it in Year 6. It's a book about dinosaurs that fled to space before the asteroid struck. Who doesn't want that kind of imagination?
3.Miracle In the Andes - The story of Nando Parrado, a rugby player who crashes into the Andes. Would you eat your dead friends to survive?
4. Information is Beautiful - Great graphs, so much information.
5. The Shack - Despite it's simplistic theology and lack of actually answering questions, it provides a gripping storyline and even more profound questions.
6. Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are? - A Dr Zeuss classic that I can pretty much recite the whole of. No matter how bad the situation this will cheer you up.
7. The Atlas of the Universe - Everything you need to know about the solar system as a kid.
8. How to do Just About Anything - This book can be consulted on just about anything!
9. The Lego Movie Maker Kit Handbook - A big book on how to make movies. Even now I use the tips it gives for screen writing. Great facts also!
10. The Bible - For better and for worse this book has shaped me. I'm now at the point in life (and in education) where I get to study and scrutinise it heavily. No doubt it has played a role in making me who I am though sometimes it's a negative impact as well as a positive one.
So there you have it. I think now you write yours and tag more people. That is how the virus spreads.
