Literally so bored of people making jokes about vegans
Why? It’s the funniest thing you can say to them when you meat them.

President Obama after Oregon shooting: “Our thoughts and prayers are not enough.”
Hours after today’s massacre in Oregon, President Obama took the podium for the 15th time after a mass shooting. Sounding stern and appearing frustrated, Obama challenged Americans to respond more forcefully to this shooting. His full, impassioned statement is one every American needs to hear.
You do know that that t-shirt is offensive to those who died in the original park?
Honestly, Rick Rolling is the best practical joke ever. Like, there’s nothing offensive or mean spirited about it. It’s just like “Oops you thought there would be something else here but it’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’.” which isn’t even a bad song. It’s fairly enjoyable to listen to. There’s no jumpscares, no screaming, no ill will. Just Rick Astley telling you he’s never going to give you up. I think that’s great. “You fell into my trap! Here, listen to this completely benign song that will have no negative effect on you.”
I wish this were true. There’s a really good article about the problems inherent with rickrolling here.
i used to be so christian, like going to church every week and saying grace before every dinner and it’s such a weird concept to me now
Much the same. One day I will return.
sorry what? toris are bringing in no caps on uni places?? they said the whole point of raising tuition was to make degrees mean more, because everyone was getting them. how in the FUCK would bringing in no caps follow that logic???? sorryy?????
exeter uni has so little space for students in exam time and we cannot take in more and more students every year without building new study space every year. this is fucking ridiculous.
In fairness the uni is responding well, their renovating the library over the summer to add more places.

“In Turkey, one percent of the population owns 54 percent of the total wealth.”
This data-visualization piece is about inequality of wealth distribution in Turkey in 2014. It was published in the German newspaper Zeit Online with an article by Lenz Jacobsen on April 14t, 2015. >Data source<
No you don’t understand how frustrated I am that we always depicted the Apostles as old men, especially when it comes to during-Jesus-alive stuff.
They were probably late...

Yay for Alistair :D
This made my day, thanks!
If you’re reblogging it because you respect it, cool. If not, here’s why you should: Britney Spears was a child star who was rocketed into extreme celebrity at a young age. It isn’t all to shocking to hear that she didn’t have a ton of time to learn math, because if you were like fifteen and all your time was spent in photo shoots and on press tours you probably wouldn’t find a ton of time for homework, either. She’s been to hell and back through the media, and now she’s just trying to be a good mother. I absolutely respect the fact that she’s becoming more educated to help her sons, because that’s a devoted parent. There are parents out there who don’t care at all and would let their kid struggle alone, and it’s heartwarming to hear about parents who try their best not to let that happen. Leave her be.
I like how it turned out that Chris Crocker was just way before his time.

I was in church in Nairobi today
and the senior pastor does a lot of work with university students. He told us that yesterday morning, as Muslim and Christian students got up early to pray before starting their day of studying, 5 gun men stormed Garrisa University and began to shoot indiscriminately into dormitories. They then singled out Muslim students, and let them go, and then surrounded the other students, most of whom were members of Garissa University’s Christian Union. The Nairobi pastor received a text message from the president of the CU, saying simply ‘please pray’, before his phone went dead.
147 Kenyans died yesterday in Garissa, almost all university students. Meanwhile, I was revising at home. My friends were walking up forum hill to study on our safe and protected campus, where they can worship whatever God they please without fear. It is all too easy to forget how lucky we are.
Even as a guy this makes me mad. Alligator meat is on the “essential items list”. You’ve got to question whether the government has its priorities right when exotic meat is deemed more essential than sanitary products.
