When all this shit is over, we should call back to the dark Windows age in the form of a fictional horror genre idea that I call "operating system horror".
I don't know if this has already been attempted and I might be rehashing something here that's actually succeeded before, but I've never seen somebody say that we should do operating system horror. "My" idea is kind of like analogue horror's kid, a look into a scarier world where OS abusiveness is exaggerated and much more blatant, to the point where maliciously designed systems actually threaten a person mortally. This would, I imagine, work best in some kind of video game, for interactivity - bonus points if you make this game but it's not clear that it's operating system horror to begin with, surprising the player a bit farther in that the computer in their game is evil. When all this shit is over.
