Okay so putting this here because this has been in my brain for so long and I need to share it because how has this not been done yet!! Image a cult in the Transformers universe, but it’s a decepticon convincing a bunch of humans that he’s an angel here to save them from the end of times.
Or just a group of people who worship a huge transformers corpse, and they drink the emerging blood as a form of ritual and are slowly growing clumps of energon from themselves.
I have a cool idea for a horror YouTube/twitch channel.
It starts off normal, videos of what the creator likes, gameplay, movie reviews. Views are low, so their first sponsored video is kinda surprising. The sponsor claims to "boost views and engagement" but the whole ad is pretty vague. The creator mentions being a client of the service, and that promoting it gets them a deal. Then the video continues.
Their uploads become stranger. Random clips, text, will flash onscreen. Nothing scary, just buzzwords, clips from famous videos. If anyone comments, they say it's part of the service.
If the videos continue to get low views, the channel goes dead for a while. If videos get good views, the random clips become stranger and more aggressive, videos becoming unwatchable but hypnotic. Then the channel goes dead for a while.
When it comes back, the creator is no longer in their home. The background is dark, they look tired, they glance at people outside of the camera's view. They talk less. The videos are still the same subject: gaming or reacting or whatever the niche was. They still promote the same sponsor but can't hide the venom slipping into their words. "But now, a word from today's sponsor..." they bite out, glaring daggers into the camera. It's not a promotion, its a warning.
Sawyer — my dream Texas Chainsaw Massacre TV series!
Pinterest. Spotify.
I was going to list every character and their stories, but I cannot mentally, or even physically, bring myself to do that right now. So, I will do a quick rundown of things. (But I can promise you all, this story is so complex in my mind.) If you have any questions, feel free to politely ask. 🫠
Content Advisory for: Homicide, cannibalism, abuse, sexual abuse, and so much incest/inbreeding, they could rival my beloved Targaryens!
The Sawyers, the Slaughters, and a couple of other branches of the Sawyer family live in what is basically a backwoods village in Newt, Texas. When the story begins (about 2012), they've been here for about a hundred years, by that point. Most people in town know about them, and are aware of their tendency to keep it in the family, but they mind their business. They also "turn an eye" to it because, quite frankly, the town is afraid of them. (Giving that Hillbilly Targaryen power! 🙌🏽😌)
The series would alternate between the present and pre-series.
(*OC) with an * means their name was mentioned in the files in Texas Chainsaw 3D, but their was never more mentioned of them than that. Also Annie, who is a different version of Sara from TCM3.
The main family are as goes...
Anne was abused by her father (Grandpa Sawyer), and from this, she had 3 children: Annamae (OC), Drayton, and Verna.
Annamae, on the night she turned 18, ran over to their cousin Callum Slaughter's (OC) house, in the rain, and asked him if he wants to get married. (I just Googled it, and 1st-Cousin marriage was actually legal in Texas until 2005!) She did this to get away from her house. Not to long after they married, they traveled the country for a couple of years before coming back home. They had 3 children together: Walter, then twins Vilmer and Violet (OC). Callum died 7 years before the story begins.
About 3-4 years after Annamae & Callum's marriage, Drayton offered to "marry" Verna to protect her from Grandpa. She agreed. Over time, they had 7 6 children: Orson (Tinker), Edward (Tex), twins Paul (Chop Top) and Henry (Nubbins), Loretta, and Jedidiah. Shortly after his 8th birthday, Jed was taken from the family. (You've seen 2017's Leatherface.) Eventually, Verna met a wealthy man from a town over named Benjamin Carson; he was infatuated with her, and wanted to marry her. She knew having money could aid her in getting Jed back, so she played Benjamin like a fiddle and married him. This broke Drayton's and their children's hearts. She did continue to visit as much as she could, but...
Anyway, Verna & Ben had a daughter, Crystal (OC). Except they didn't. Crystal is actually Drayton's, born from him & Verna having a brief Targaryen Tango after her marriage! Crystal is not aware of her true parentage, and it is so ironic because she turns her nose up at that side of the family. She believes her siblings are just her cousins.
A few years after Verna married Ben Carson, Drayton met Clarissa (*OC), a customer at his gas station. They married and had a son named Dunkin (*OC), followed by a daughter named Carrie (*OC).
Tinker caught Feels for Betty Hartman when they were teens and he'd visit the Dairy Queen (or something similar) she worked at. Though it could never be, and then his father murdered her.
Tex feels some type of way about his big brother. Some type of way.
Chop Top enlisted in the army at 19. He actually had to go to war 4 years later, and he was never the same after that. (Not that he was very Mentally Well in the first place.)
Nubbins sort of liked Sally Hardesty when he was 18. Just briefly. Alas, he lead Sally, her brother, and their friends to his family, and they were all murdered. He has the same Nubbins traits and habits, except less cartoony and with more depth. We'd actually show his struggle with Schizophrenia.
Loretta Lynn Sawyer is the most sane one of her family. (Meaning her parents and brothers.) She's a nice girl, and works at a dinner as a waitress. She feels sorry for their victims; because of this, she oftens lets them write a letter to their loved ones, and tells them she'll send it to them. She never does, of course, but it's to hopefully give them some peace. Then, she cuts off a piece of their body (usually a finger), and plants it in her flower garden so they can grow into a flower.
Nubbins & Loretta had a son, Corey (*OC), in their late teens. But eventually, his bullshit caused them to separate. Later, they will get back together and have Edith. (This ship I made I my head is so good, you just have to trust me on this. 🫰🏽🥺)
Jedidiah. Everything that happened in Leatherface happened in his story.
At some point, Jed and their cousin Violet (OC) developed a relationship. She became pregnant, and his side of the family was pissed because they felt she had taken advantage of him. She died shortly after giving birth to their daughter, Baby Jane.
Annie Sawyer (*OC) was born Sara Gladstone. When she was 7 years old, she and her family were on a road trip, and ended up in the Sawyer family's path. They murdered her parents and her 3 elder siblings (2 sisters and 1 brother), but Drayton refused to kill her. She was just too young. That whole experience completely turned any "pleasure for killing" he still had. The family decided to keep her, and Tinker adopted her. After keeping her in the home for 3 years, they finally let her go out sometimes — only after dying her hair red — and made up the story that she was Tinker's daughter from a fling who then dropped her off at their door. Annie is close with Dunkin, Corey, and Carrie. While working a part-time job, she meets Delilah Johnson (OC), a girl whose father happens to be a survivalist named Benny. 👀 She doesn't want Delilah to meet her family, aside from the previously mentioned three.
Dunkin is a loveable dumbass. He's a little bit in love with Annie.
Carrie is literally Just A Girl, and she wants to be a Country Music Star!
Corey, poor baby, would just like to be a normal kid in a nice family who aren't sadistic, murderous cannibals. Quite sad about his parents Going Through It (both separately and as a couple).
Baby Jane, or "just Jane," is wild, blunt, and sadistic. Very spoiled by her Grandma Verna. This girl embodies the lyric "I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream." But she is loyal to those she loves.
W.E. is still himself. Not much changed with him. He's the annoying uncle throwing out literature quotes.
Oh... Renny. This poor boy. He goes through it. He lives with his insane father and his crazy mother, and they're always fighting, and his family are murderers. That boy is living in Hell. At least he has his cousin/best friend, Jane. And as a teenager, he meets a girl at school, Hailey Hartman (OC), and they grow to like really each other. 👀 (The series would actually begin with his 10th birthday, sort of referencing the opening scene of Leatherface, except he gets a normal, healthy birthday because his mother demands it.)
When Vilmer was in mid-20s, he met a woman named Darla. She was older, a lawyer, and in the process of her own divorce! They started screwing around, and she got pregnant. So they got married once her divorce finalized, and Reynold Wilson "Renny" (OC) was born a few months later! (About 2 months after Baby Jane was born.) Two years later, they had a daughter named Violet May (OC).
Hailey Hartman is the daughter of Burt Hartman, the granddaughter of the late Hal Hartman, and the niece of late Betty Hartman. She is outspoken and bold, often clashing with her father, as they can't seem to see eye to eye on pretty much anything. Things get more difficult when she befriends and eventually catches feelings for Renny, who is a Sawyer, whom her family hates.
.
Alright, so I think that's all you need to know to see my vision and understand to board and playlist.
If you have any questions, you may drop them in my ask box!
A movie that is advertised as a standard, schlocky hallmark-esque romcom story, only for it to turn into a horror movie halfway through when the main character realizes that the town is actually a huge cult and that's why everyone acts the way they do.
I wish Tartarus was scarier. Like I get the series is, in the end, meant for kids but kids horror (actually scary shit) is already out there.
It doesn’t even have to be scary like maybe monsters start looking like your loved ones. Maybe the air smells like a place you miss but might not ever see again. Maybe it slowly starts looking like a psychedelic trip.
Or, if we’re making a scenario where it’s actually creepy, it starts off normal, but when you sleep you have vivid nightmares of your loved ones being hurt or hurting you, along with never ending places and when you look in the mirror your own face has been contorted into something you can’t recognize. This happens every time you sleep.
Maybe when you wake up you stop sleeping to escape the dreams, but sleep deprivation causes you to hallucinate those same things while you’re awake. To add onto that, you feel like bugs/parasites are crawling under your skin, you get extreme visions of your body becoming liquid that feel real, and you hallucinate monsters out of plants.
Imagine if there were different forms, builds, and colors to different werewolves based on the species and subspecies of wolf that they are integrated with.
We all know the standard hulking werewolf based around the gray wolf, and while most wolves on the surface look the same since they’re all wolves, imagine how cool it would be to have different types and categories of werewolf based in reality!
Imagine running into a werewolf and knowing, oh, that’s a coastal sea werewolf, whose diet is likely largely fish. Strange that they have come to this part of the country, but I guess I’m safe so long as I don’t get close!
Or having to strategize how to beat a werewolf based on the cultural beliefs of the countries the wolf originates from. Like an Indian werewolf being smaller means it could be more athletic, while a gray werewolf is slower, but stronger.
I just want more people to play around with different werewolf concepts
