Had another “going away party” for one of my Japanese friends. She invited some other folks so I met some more people to add to my friendship circle, lmao.

Anyway, the important news...*drum roll*... I was totally able to recognize an Osaka-dialect (”Kansai-ben”)!!!

Today's Osaka Slang

Apparently an insult here in Osaka is "ぼけなす”　(Bokenasu)  meaning fool or idiot. 

So I did my research and this literally translates as Stupid Eggplant. Boke = fool, nasu = eggplant.

And my first though was, that is the funniest insult I've ever heard. "Shut up you stupid eggplant!" "Go home you foolish eggplant!" "Arghh you mucked up again you dumb eggplant!"

But then I remembered that in New Zealand they insult people by saying "you egg" and that's kind of the same thing.

Language is Weird.

I wanna learn Kansai-ben / Osaka-ben.

Instead of saying Nani yuu ten no?( Tokyo) , I can say this: Nani yu ten no ya!?   I'm more comfortable with it (it looks the same when you write it, but the pitch and the tone are completely different) , and I love Ichimaru Gin's Kansai Ben :D

Akan de! nani shitennen omae!? koitsu aho ya de honma ni, mou ee wa, hayo kaereeeeee!!! Lmao xD 

(ps Kansai-ben means Kansai Dialect )

(Nani yuu ten no means What the hell are you talking about?)

.__. But  I have to learn Nihongo first, before learning other dialect LOL.
