Colored this today and didn’t really like a lot of the shadings I did. In the bigger areas you can see the strokes and it’s all line-y. Idk, it’s a learning process. Also was lost with what to do next like 4 times. Anyway, will look up YT tutorials to better my coloring techniques.

Must have been years since I sat down and coloured a picture. This is also my first time colouring something to this extent with blending. I didn’t know I had it in me. I really enjoyed it and glad I bought this adult colouring book. Will continue this to help clear my mind. May not be a daily practice but definitely weekly. Some of the pages in this book are really intricate so it probably won’t take an hour to complete like this one did.

Sooooo it’s really been a long time since I’ve been on tumblr. I just got a new (used iMac) and I’m def gonna be more active on my websites...maybe I shouldn’t say def but I feel more motivated to do so. Anyway....glad to be back. My mac air was too slow to see tumblr posts.

Please don’t take this the wrong way but it’s time you people get your shit right when it comes to our complexion! Why do I have to bring my own makeup to a professional show when all the other white girls don’t have to do anything but show up wtf! Don’t try to make me feel bad because I am blue black. It’s 2015 go to Mac, Bobbi Brown, Makeup forever, Iman cosmetic, Black opal, even Lancôme and Clinique carries them, plus so much more. There’s so much options our there for dark skin tones today. A good makeup artist would come prepare and do their research before coming to work. Often times you know what to expect especially at a show! Stop apologizing it’s insulting and disrespectful to me and my race it doesn’t help, seriously! Make an effort at least! That goes for NYC, London, Milan, Paris and Cape Town plus everywhere else that have issues with Black skin tones. Just because you only book a few of us doesn’t mean you have the right to make us look ratchet. I’m tired of complaining about not getting book as a black model and I’m definitely super tired of apologizing for my blackness!!!! Fashion is art, art is never racist it should be inclusive of all not only white people, shit we started fashion in Africa and you modernize and copy it! Why can’t we be part of fashion fully and equally?

Awkward Convos in Japan

One common complaint from foreigners in Japan is that sometimes random Japanese people will give you a compliment of your Japanese (if you speak any) at very awkward moments.

Last night when me and my boyfriend were returning from an event at night a young guy decided to interrupt our convo to say 日本語上手ですね (Your Japanese is really good). At first, I didn’t know he was talking to me until my boyfriend motioned his head towards him. Like, why!????? It was so awkward because me and him were having a good ole funny convo and this dude decided to interrupt. What made it more awkward was him going up the same stairs we had to go up to to get out of the subway station and dude kept looking down when going up the stairs asking me questions. It felt like he was trying to ナンパ me (pick me up) in front of my boyfriend! Like why duuuude!?? He asked me how long I studied Japanese and then asked me where I’m from. Ugh. I feel like I’m going to get more awkward situations like this since recently starting to date my boyfriend who so happens to be Japanese.
