I saw the 9/11 exhibit and I find it INCREDIBLY WEIRD that they just... gloss over how we (as a country) blamed Hussein for years (even though the people always thought it was sus) which led to the United States killing him and in turn led to more Islamic extremism in the middle east. (Including the rise of ISIS/ISIR).
I don't know if the 9/11 exhibit is the right place to point out how Bush blamed him for nearly a decade. I don't know if I'm unbiased enough to answer if Hussein deserved it or not because he wasn't an amazing dude. But given our history of toppling governments in the area has a history of leading to extremism in that area (looks at Iran), I do think we as a country should admit to our role in that.
The 9/11 exhibit did go over the rise of Al-Qaeda (though coincidentally it also glossed over our hand in that one as well).
I'm just saying that the exhibit should at least say "Yeah and we blamed Hussein for a bit and that's why it took us so long to get Osama" instead of "Yeah we knew it was Osama the entire time we just had a really really hard time finding him." Don't get me wrong. I'm willing to believe that the CIA director they interviewed knew who it was the entire time, but you can't just gloss over the massive amount of resources that was spent because our president blamed THE WRONG DUDE. Because of some stupid vendetta.

thoughts on any of the cartoon saloon films? Such as wolfwalkers, song of the sea, etc
I've seen The Breadwinner and Song of the Sea many years ago. Breadwinner reminded me of a 2003 movie a teacher of mine turned on once, called "Osama". I don't remember enough to form an opinion, I'm sure I wrote a review for it on Rottentomatoes, but the website deleted my account for no given reason. Concerning Song of the Sea.. the only thing I remember about it is that it's a story about a family that got broken up, while it didn't have to. I don't like stories like these, it's one of the reasons I didn't like Wolf Children, either. Why did this creature that knows she (possibly) can't stay on land even start a family with a land creature? And the daughter could've chosen to abandon the father as well. Very cruel.
