Mimitchi has made her FIRST EVER appearance on November 23rd, 2024 at OSHI BASE Harajuku to celebrate the 28th birthday of Tamagotchi!
Kuchipatchi & Kapibara-san Making Joint Appearance at OSHI BASE Harajuku
Did you know that Kuchipatchi and Kapibara-san from the popular anime KAPIBARASAN are actually friends? Well they have been for 11 years when they first collaborated together for a cafe event at Oedo Onsen Monogatari.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of KAPIBARASAN, both Kuchipatchi and Kapibara-san are making a joint appearance at the OSHI BASE in Harajuku on Saturday, September 20th, 2025 and Sunday, September 21st, 2025 at 12:00PM, 2:14PM, 3:16PM for 15 minutes each.
There is no cost for attending this event. You’ll be able to take pictures, and create special memories with the two of them!
OSHI BASE Announces Additional Tamagotchi 28th Anniversary Merchandise
More merchandise is being added to OSHI BASE’s Tamagotchi 28th Birthday Celebration pop-up in Harajuku, Japan!
Just announced are Tamagotchi 28th Anniversary acrylic stands which have puzzle piece bases, they ¥800 including tax.
Second are Tamagotchi 28th Anniversary tin can badges, available in 10 different styles.
Third are Tamagotchi keychain finger skateboards, talk about a throwback, three different styles, available for ¥990 including tax.
All of this merchandise will be available exclusively at the OSHI BASE Tamagotchi 28th Birthday Celebration starting on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024!
Bandai Japan Schedules Tamagotchi 28th Birthday Events
Mark your calendar, we’re going to celebrate the 28th anniversary of Tamagotchi! After 28 years, Mametchi looks so good without using anti-aging face cream. Bandai Japan has announced that to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the iconic Tamagotchi brand, they’ll be hosting an event at
Tokyu Plaza Harajuku (Harakado) 3rd floor, OSHI BASE Harajuku, from Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 through Thursday, November 28th, 2024 11:00 to 21:00.
There are five points of the birthday celebration you need to know about!
Point 1, the latest products are on display for the first time. There will be an exhibition area full of the highlights. You’ll Tamagotchi Original Angel Series, which Bandai Japan is crediting the European and American markets for the revival. You’ll then see some of the latest Tamagotchi Connection wave 2 shells.
There is also a collaboration booth with COIN PARKING DELIVERY, and anonymous Japanese artist, at the back of the exhibition area and you can experience shooting at the photo spot in the booth. There will also be a birthday cake photo spot too!
Point 2, you can meet “1123 Mametchi” on the Tamagotchi Uni Tama Search! 1123 being the birthday of the Tamagotchi brand, and of course Mametchi’s birthday too. You can see him dressed as a king, as he should be! There will be also be a spot where Tamagotchi’s can connect with each other.
Point 3, Mametchi and Kuchipatchi will be making appearances, and you know you need a picture of them. The greeting of both iconic characters as well as Mr. Shirai and Myaku Myakiu of COIN PARKING Delivery will be an awesome experience!
You will need to enter a lottery with a numbered ticket to take advantage of the meet and greet. The schedule is above.
Point 4, there will be a pre-sale of the Tamagotchi Connection wave 2 shells (which are scheduled for release on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024), the COIN PARKING DELIVERY Tamagotchi Original collaboration shell, and the Tamagotchi Original Angel Series! That is awesome because the Tamagotchi Original Angel Series doesn’t hit Japan until January 25th, 2024!
There’s even Tamagotchi x COIN PARKING DELIVERY merchandise that will be sold! Purchase are limited to three per person, and stock is limited, and will end once the stock is depleted. These will be sold at other events too.
Point 5, Tama Stickers! Bandai Japan is bringing those Angel Balloons and Monster Balloons Tama Stickers that we’ve seen throughout the World Tamagotchi Tour! These will be given out to those who follow one of the Tamagotchi official social media accounts.
Tamagotchi Corner Shop Job Fair at OSHI BASE Harajuku
OSHI Base is no stranger to Tamagotchi events, and this next one is really exciting. To commemorate the upcoming release of the Tamagotchi Plaza Nintendo Switch game, Bandai Japan has partnered up with OSHI BASE again for a Tamagotchi Corner Shop Job Fair event which runs from Wednesday, June 18th, 2025 through Thursday, July 31st, 2025.
The fair takes place at Tokyu Plaza Harajuku "Harakado" 3rd floor OSHI BASE Harajuku located at Tokyu Plaza Harajuku Harakado, 6-31-21 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
First there will be exclusive Tamagotchi Corner Shop merchandise available for purchase from Wednesday, June 18th, 2025 through Thursday, July 31st, 2025. This includes keychains, stickers, clear pouches, A4 clear files, can badges, and more!
Second, you will be able to trial the Tamagotchi Plaza Nintendo Switch game! That’s right, there will be a trial table where you can play and enjoy working at the different shops. This runs from Thursday, June 26th, 2025 through Thursday, July 31st, 2025.
Third, there will be character greetings! You can meet Mametchi and Kuchipatchi on Saturday, July 19th, 2025 and Sunday, July 20th, 2025. Then you can meet Mametchi and Mimitchi on Saturday, July 26th, 2025 and Sunday, July 27th, 2025.
Fourth, if you purchase any merchandise at the event you’ll get a complementary illustration card, and there are 11 total. You will get one card for every ¥3,000 you spend.
Tuna King Visits Tamagotchi Corner Shop Job Fair at OSHI BASE Harajuku
Kiyoshi Kimura, known as known as Tuna King is the head of Kiyomura Corporation which runs the Sushi Zanmai chain of restaurants. He was able to experience the cuteness of the store, and even mentioned that he played Tamagotchi a long time ago!
The Tuna King also got to experience the Sushi Shop on Tamagotchi Plaza, how iconic? He even got a picture with Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi!
