Guys, let me just say that the team with @playosmo has been one of the best to collaborate with over the years, and the kids have always loved the games. They bring the best of what technology is doing for kids as well as teaching important skills. Not only do the kids love playing the games, but they are learning at the same time! Win win all around. . This summer OSMO revealed a new Coding Starter Kit for your little ones to grow into it! From Basic to Advanced coding adventures. Coding Awbie and Coding Jam are so much fun for the whole family. They really love jamming along with their toy guitars as Vasilisa was building a dance beat, and Evyianne and Elia just love to see who can get Awbie to capture the most strawberries. . Celebrating Computer Science Education Week Around the World

This week, we’re celebrating Computer Science Education Week with some big announcements and participation in Hour of Code! 

Our first announcement? We are partnering with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and #CSforAll to offer coding opportunities to foster computer science skills to more than 4,000 elementary science classrooms nationwide. As announced in today’s release of the White House Fact Sheet, this initiative highlights the expansion of the #CSforAll campaign to provide impactful products, to help provide students with more coding opportunities.

Osmo Coding ”Makes Programming Fun”

A recent article posted by Pocket Lint sings the praises of one of Osmo’s most recent games, Osmo Coding. What’s particularly “cool” about this review is the tester’s commentary on two aspects of the game that don’t always get as much mention as the game play our users love.

You may have read our article a couple of months ago about Osmo Maker Ariel Zekelman’s months of work to come up with the perfect Coding game pieces. Our software engineers are often praised for their excellent work, so it’s wonderful to see Ariel’s designs (after countless iterations!) receive due acknowledgement. 

Yet another positive note on Coding points out that for children it’s not enough to walk and run and jump and collect yummy strawberries. Children love that Awbie builds on his home base throughout the game, gathering wood, finding treasures, catching animals, and growing... what else? Strawberries!!

Computer Coding as Child’s Play

When it comes to tech toys, in 2016, there are quite a lot of options to choose from. We’re honored to have been listed as one way to learn coding as a “fun part of growing up”. The good news for all you adults out there is that, while Osmo Coding is aimed at 5-12 year-olds, we here at Osmo even have a blast playing it at our “advanced” ages! ;)

Coding Inspiring Kids in More Ways than Predicted

The following is a post shared with Osmo from a dedicated #OsmoCoding fan parent. Thank you for bringing us this heart-warming video!

Day 9: We have been trying to convince Idan to go for a walk for a few days now. All he has wanted to do is stay in bed and play with the iPad. After playing for three hours today with the Osmo Coding (his new favorite game he got from his grandma and grandpa) Ashley suggested we play Live Osmo in the hall. Idan got very excited and he ended up doing 10 laps around the unit :)
