𝐷𝐴𝑌 63 Well I survived my first ‘sober’ Birthday in 5 years! (I was pregnant with my little George 5 years ago but if you exclude my 3 pregnancies - it’s probably my first sober birthday in 25 years! How blooming crazy is that!! Every birthday I look forward to my birthday tipple in the evening- normally wine 🍷 and I’ve never done it without. And you know what. I had a great weekend… I spent time with my boys, family, friends- we stayed in @legolandwindsor hotel for the night (and I drank sparkling water) which sounds boring but it wasn’t- I actually enjoyed watching my kids dance to the mini disco and had a solid 8 hours sleep waking up with a fresh head and no grogginess! We had a soft play party with 5 birthday cakes (😂) my boys and our friends instead of an evening meal out where I would get suitably pissed, collapse in bed at 11pm and wake at 3am feeling like absolute crap… And it was fun ❤️ Of course part of me missed the wine. And I had a few moments of thinking ‘I wish I could have a glass of bubbles 🫧’ but literally shook myself out of it, and reminded myself of #playitforward Would it have been worth it? The feeling of waking the next day tired. Hungover. Guilt. Puffy. Headache. No energy. 𝑁𝑂- it’s never worth it! One of my friends brought me this @cleanco as a pressie and I can’t wait to try it!
