[10-18-2022] I FINALLY finished this 1/100 MG RX-78-2 Ver.3.0 (Gundam Base Clear Color) last night. I've been letting this dude sit on my desk for weeks (maybe months) when all I had to finish was an arm, the head, and the weapons. I've come to realize that I'm not the biggest fan of clear kits because the plastic is incredibly brittle. I snapped 2 parts in the legs almost immediately. If I had built the regular version, I'm sure I might've enjoyed the build a lot more but I wanted to do the clear one for my 50th MG. That aside, not too bad. I recently picked up the 2.0 (which is more anime accurate) but I think I'm gonna take a break from the RX-78-2 for a bit. Can't decide if I wanna go with another UC kit next (maybe Zeon) or move into another universe. Reading Challenge 2019 (8/50):

Otacool: Worldwide Otaku Rooms

So... it’s a picture book.

In the latest issue of a cosplayer magazine, one of the articles was about the homes of fellow fan people. This idea, of how the space I live in reflects and is filled with the things I love, has been on my mind for a while now.

My home currently isn’t filled with these things, but also is. Look anywhere near my desk, and you’ll see evidence of all the things I enjoy. In my living room, there’s a curtain covered with badges and miniature figures. Even the kitchen is not free of it, what with the overflowing bookcases there.

I look at these pictures not so much for solidarity with fellow fan people, but for a bit of inspiration. That I, too, can make a place for the things I love in a clean, neat, and calming manner.

... but I don’t think I could ever go half as hard as any of these people have.

(I won’t mind a space like Sachiko’s though.)
