[10-4-2022] You know what the interesting thing is? I've been DJing since 2011 but I was always too shy/insecure to play out. Even now, I'm still pretty insecure (hence the mask. Keep in mind, I've been masked up PRE-Pandemic. The face shield ended being more to stand out/separate from the "normal" face masks). I started to lose my motivation to DJ pre-2020. I even considered quitting entirely and selling off all my stuff. But, like 6 years ago, I was voluntold to play a gig and I was reminded why I even took up the hobby in the first place. So thanks @denverhousemusic for growing to be an awesome crew and letting me tag along for the ride. [7-9-2022] Yesterday, I got an "inverse colors" version of the baseball jacket with my name on it. Honestly, I like the look of the black one a lot more. However, it feels a little tighter than the white one (I ordered the same size). I noticed the buttons on the black one are a little harder to snap. Maybe that's a good thing. Also, I think I messed up on which logo I submitted; it has a small black border on the lettering. I should've used the one without a black border because now, (I think) it doesn't look as clean. Overall, I still like how it mostly turned out. I don't have a large-enough fanbase to order more. It's more for me because I just wanted to see what it would look like. [6-4-2022] I ordered this jacket about a month ago. I wasn't too sure how it'd turn out because it was cheap and was shipping from overseas. I got a white one because, unfortunately, I jacked up my other white baseball jacket. Anyways, it was delivered today and, I must say, I like how it turned out. [3-7-2022] As most of my friends know, I've been struggling with finding my motivation/passion for DJing (since pre-pandemic). Most of my friends also know I've been wearing masks (pre-pandemic, as well). It started out as a joke but ended up becoming part of the "BotoMaki" identity (and mostly because I don't like how my face looks in pictures). Supposedly, I've got 2 gigs coming up (one in April and another in the beginning of May). Nothing too major but I'll be sure to post deets when I get more info. [1-8-2022] So since everyone else is doing the whole 10YearChallenge thing, I might as well hop on the bandwagon. The pic on the left was taken [2-15-2012; Age 28] (it was the only pic I could find from 2012) and the pic on the right was taken earlier today [1-8-2022; Age 38]. Don't let the classic MySpace angle fool you: my hairline has receded quite drastically and the back of my head has a bald spot. I've also gained hella pounds (maybe 40-50ish). At this point, my posture is sh*t, my joints always hurt, and I'm pretty overweight. I don't mind facial hair anymore since I can now shape a jawline. HOWEVER [comma], my mental health is slightly better since I'm at a different job. I'll take any wins I can get. Oddly enough, my confidence back then was MUCH higher than it is now.
